Do you guys think 1/8" change in brace height would really make a difference? Couldn't figure out why my arrows were tailing today. Could have been the crosswind but when finished, I measured and I noticed the brace height was a little more than 1/8" higher.
It is puzzling that your brace height had increased instead of decreasng due to string stretch. If your set-up was on the threshold of decent flight, then 1/8" change in brace height could make a noticeable difference.
I installed a new string a few days ago. I strung the bow and shot it until the string stopped stretching. It was at the correct brace last night when I put the bow away. Can a new string shrink back a little?
Depends on the bow. I have some bows that you can immedietly see and hear the slightest change. I have one Centaur that's silent and shoots the same from 6 3/4 to 7 1/4.
It was probably the crosswind,or your form/release. New strings will tighten back up a little after being shot if the bow is unstrung, but they'll come back down to where they were after restringing and several shots. 1/8 inch of brace height difference usually makes no difference in arrow flight, unless you're at the limit of a brace height that's way too high or way too low.
