I was one of the first to run out and buy the camo hunters when Easton put them on the market.
Wow! What a cool looking hunting arrow.
Now, I miss the old autumn orange shafts and still have a few but sure would like to see Easton bring them back.
Anyone else still like the old orange shafts ?
Yes, I wish they would bring them back also.
I bet they would if enough people asked for them on their web site. Might be suprised what they say.
Own a dozen brand NIB. Switched to woods but still hold on to these beauts.
YES YES YES !!!!!
I have about a dozen AO 2016s and a few odd 1916s. I, too, wish they would make them again.
If we get enough people wanting them, maybe they would bring them back for a limited time. Jason
I have a few dozen 2114's made up and a couple doz. 1916's I need to fletch...one of my favorite shafts
About a year ago I found a dozen 2018's on the auction site. I check from time to time, they're still some out there.
I don't know them - Pics?
I always liked them. It is too bad they aren't being made any more.
I want the 1918 Autumn Oranges to come back, I buy everyone I can find.
Yep, 1918 AO is a premier arrow for those bows around 50-55 lb.
Anyone ever see any 1920's?
I'm trying to post a pic of one Tom
Sorry, having trouble posting a pic.
Buy my sizes any time they turn up,
MARK
Until Easton quite making them thats all I shot. I wish they would bring them back. It just seemed to me that it was easy to follow flight. But then I been told I'm nuts. :archer: :dunno:
camo arrows maybe are better for the return sales, I am certain they are harder to find.
Here we go....

Some of you guys are showing your age! LOL
By the way they are still my favorite. Picked up a new dozen of 2117's last year.
I buy and hoard them whenever I find them......
Sorry brothers at that time I preferred the JDA Serpent.
I'm with Lon,
The 1920s are the bomb and impossible to come by. Super thick wall but spine out well for trad. guys. I'v shot all mine up as of a couple years ago. They were green GG's. I love all orange xx75s too.
I've got a few dozen vintage 2020s in the GG green and cherish them.
At last count I had 9 dozen 2117 uncut enough to last me a while................
I shot my first whitetail with a 2117 Autumn Orange arrow and a Howard Hill Tembo bow in 1978. That brings back fun memories.
Still have a few .
every time I find them at a yard sale I put them on here an they sell in 1-2 hrs.I dont shoot them but I know you guys like them so I grab them up.I belive they will bring them back one day.
i had 6 left at the beginning of the season but now i'm down to five after a deer broke one. my favorite shaft of all time. i'm always looking for 2117,2219,2317 in Autumn Orange. i too am amazed at how fast they sell in the classifieds. i would think 3Rivers would be able to have Easton make a run of them.
I started hunting with the old Autumn Orange arrows way back when. Really liked them. Just recently picked up some 2018s off the classifieds.
I would love to see Easton make some 1818,1820,1918 and 1920's for us trad guys.I was thinking of contacting Easton myself in AO and the old JDA Serpents .I picked up a doz brand new Serpents in 2213 and thats what I used for Elk last year.I still have some AO but getting pretty low.I would love to see them again.
Pretty nice looking shaft. And sounds like it works as well. I'd try a dozen, for sure.
Next step - someone gets the ball rolling...
I still have/shoot 2016 AOs. I also shoot some of the old classics.

We could contact Easton and see if this is something they are willing to consider.
FredHill had a suggestion with 3Rivers and I do remember Papes had those brown shafts made for them from back in the day.
Post up if you have ideals on this.
I was as the archery shop last week and was told Easton has discontinued almost half of the sizes and styles they used to make. Carbon is taking over.
Well, now's not the time for me to buy arrows,or other non-essentials!
But , there is a dz. 2117 over on the arrow classifieds! shick has them!
Great price, too!
Yep , better get your aluminum sizes when you can...whether orange, green, or camo. There is just not the market with all the carbon choices available. Prices are just going to go up from here too.
Was there any difference between the autumn orange and the autumn hunters? Just curious...
I used to like them too.Now they are going to make pretty footings on carbon shafts.

Still have a good supply of 1918 AO's the only ones I ever sold were to BOWMARKS. Not going to part with any more.
I would love to get my hands on some 1920's again, and I would be thrilled if Easton would make some AO'S again.
I'd love to see them come back . Great looking shaft .
Autumn orange with white sheild cut feathers ... heck yeah !
I'd also like to see the old autumn orange come back along with my favorite sizes I used to shoot and are now discontinued, 2113 and 2115.
I just got a handful from a TGer, but unsure how to crest/wrap and fletch/nock them. Would love to see some of your best color combinations for the aft end of the arrow.
Would really like them brought back...just not "New & Improved". Don't mess with success.
XX75's in Autumn Orange were my favorite shafts. Especially shooting tournaments....easier to find on a missed shot, but I think that is why the manufacturers went to cammo.....they prolly sold more. :)
I have a dozen I "inherited" that I shoot now.
I have a few AO 1916s, AO and GG 1918s, GG 1920s, AO and GG 2016s, 2018s and AO 2020s. I still think they are easier to tune than carbons, but it is probably just that I have more experience with them. The spine is sure consistent.
Maybe an e-mail campaign or a petition to Easton? We could point them to threads like this. It will come down to market size since they are a business.
D.P.
I love the Autumn Orange shafts, make a real classy looking arrow!! Fortunately I have a lifetime supply socked away!

i have gone through at least 10 dozen xx75 "autumn orange" shafts - for target arrows only. out in the field, as a hunting or roving arrow, they can't take the punishment i dish out. x7's are better, but still fall short of even the cheapest carbon shafting. heck, i have woodies that a beating better in the field than any xx75 alum. NOT to say i don't like or miss those orange devils!
That was my go to shaft for a long time.
I always liked them shafts... I still got a few for old times sake... but not a straight one in the bunch...
Still have a few that were in this quiver.

My favorites. Wish they still sold them.
I'd buy a dozen or two or three if Easton would start makin them again. Gotta love the autumn orange! Jason
Hey guys, I already talked to Easton over a couple of years and they will make them any time some one wants..... You just have to commit to buy 5000 shafts per size. They don't see a demand in them to stick their neck out on them. I still hoard the few I have. Bring back some memories.
It seems as though the interested tradgang members could cover the 5,000 minimum order?? Who is in??

I would buy some, but it might be hard getting everyone to agree on what size...
I want 1918s 1920s 1818s and 1820s. these floppier spines are heavier and work better out of longbows and shorter than 28" draw. I'd be in if they were available for sure.
Only 5000! I'm in for 2 dozen 2016's so we only need another 414 dozens.
You know I'm in if they become available.
I always shot them. If they ever come back I will shoot them again.
I killed a ton of stuff with em back in the day. I still have about 2 dozen 2117 and 2018's. Hard to beat. I still pick a few up here and there around here.
I have been building custom AO and selling them in my shop for years. The shafts are getting real hard to find these days.
Love 'em! Killed my first deer with AO XX75 - the "old school" nostalgia they bring makes me smile. I know my carbons are tougher and straighter but would snap up 2016 or 2018 if I could find them...

Wow is all I can say!
Just got 2 dozen 2018's on the fleabay about a month ago...they need to look like that!
Josh
I will be taking about 4 dozen or so to Denton Hill for the trade blanket.

Finished the last dozen

Easton deffinetly needs to reintroduce the Autumn Orange.
I have a dozen I got new in box, but they are not marked anywhere. Just the orange color all over and three green stripes. was this common at all.
i HAVE ONE LEFT...JUST one..dang...marco :help:
A couple of years ago Easton had the Yukon shaft on the market that was practically the same color but featured their uni bushing nock system. Looks like the pulled them off the market also.
My sisters boyfriend said he found some old archery stuff in his granddad's attic. Curious, I told him to bring it when he came by next time. In an old arrow box were several old MA-3 broadheads and a half dozen autumn orange shafts. In another box were a dozen aluminum arrows made by Tru-flite,they were a yellowish/gold color. I had never heard of Tru-Flite arrows before.
Mike,
Any 2117's :^) I'll stop by and see you and your lovely wife.
Mike
Mike, no 2117's but I do have 2114's. We look forward to seeing you again... Mike
Mike,
:campfire:

A slight color difference, and different labels.
When you put them side by side the color difference is easy to see. The lable on the AO is often hard to see, not so on the AH.
I have 10 2219's cut to 29 1/4 inches to bop which I haven't used in years. I do have a half dozen 2117's cut to the same length which I fletch and refletch from time to time and shoot a good bit.
I'm not sure I like them better than any of the more recent aluminums though. In fact, I'm not sure I like the tapered nock end all that well either.
If anyone can use the 2219's described above, I'll be happy to do some trading. They are currently unfletched, but I might even make a deal and fletch them for you.
Joe
