I have a new bow! I ordered it at Denton Hill from Leon Stewart. I picked it up yesterday.
It's a 3 piece takedown 55@28x60" Curly maple over bamboo cores on the limbs and chestnut and cocobolo colored diamond wood and whole bunch of other woods in the 14" riser.
I am stoked! I am posting pictures for the first time and I hope it is done correctly.
Oh yea, there is a compass in the stock: I mean riser...

Now on to matching arrows to the bow. Tim, another Tradgang member is going to help me. And boy do I need the help.
Merry Christmas to everyone!
Martin
Very nice!!!
Very nice looking bow.
Martin, is that a quiver insert on the riser in one of the pic's?
Merry Christmas!!!
All I can say is that you must have been a very "good boy" to warrant this one...lol
Congratulations!!
God bless,Mudd
Nice looking bow, great finish, and cool woods. I've never seen a compass put in that location. I think it looks good. I like the compass.
That's a beauty, too bad the shelf is on the wrong side. :bigsmyl:
Love the woods! Very nice!
Great bow from a great Bowyer!!
Are going to wrap it up and put it under the tree... IT IS A BEAUTY>>>>
South MS Bowhunter,
It is a insert for a bow quiver. I am not sure which one I will purchase for this bow but I will have to be detachable. I have shot with the Selway slide over quiver for a while on my Bear Montana. I think I want to remove the quiver for this one.
Mudd,
I have not been a "good boy." You can ask my wife... I will try in the future. (:
Bowwild,
The compass is an option on all Leon's bows. It is a cool feature. When strung and carried by the bow string; it is easy to level the riser and follow the direction. I do carry a compass while in the woods but this will just make it easier.
Waknstak IL,
Lefties think in their right mind. ((: so...
Bjoin, Ed and Joe,
I don't think it will be under the tree. I want to shoot it now! ((: The woods are just perfect in the combination. At first I was not in love with the light colored limbs but that was only for a second. I didn't expect them. I left a lot up to Leon.
Thanks for the great comments. I am so excited to own this bow. I have a problem with handmade things. I appreciate the effort that goes into them. That usually means a greater cost then the mass produced stuph. Hence, I am not a good boy. ): My wife has no appreication for it all all.
Again,
Thanks!
Martin
Nice Christmas present you got for yourself.
thats the real deal. mark
Heck no it's not wrong. I bought a RER LXR for my Christmas present 2 months ago. Oh yeah, I told my wife it was from her.
To answer your question, it is not at all wrong! Sweet looking bow. Merry Christmas! And don't wrap it up, it's too pretty to cover up.
Beautiful bow! Just look suprised when you unrap it.
Man that is a beauty of a bow. I miss my Leon Stewart! If you want a good side quiver for it, I loved the Anneewakee angle quiver. It fit perfect and gives good balance to the bow. :clapper:
Wrong? Explain wrong.
Be sure to wrap it up and under the tree with it. Love from Santa. You're all excited on Christmas Day - "Santa got me a bow!" Great way to introduce "unnecessary" items into the house....
wrong??? hell no i'm thinkin you done good, with the bow and the pics. good luck with it !!
i wish i could do as well posting pics!
merry christmas!!
Carbonflyr,
I can help with posting pictures if you like. I found it to be very easy. I was unsure of how to size but it worked out anyway. Send me a PM and I will assist.

I can't imagine the guilt you must be feeling. But it is Christmas and me being in the Christmas spirit, must do the right thing for you in this time of need.
My Christmas gift to you is to help the best way I know how. I want you to immediately package that bow and contact me. I will give you the address for shipping the bow priority insured to an unknown hunter. ;) I know, I know it is selfless on my part. It is a curse I live with everyday. I just feel the need to do the right thing during this Christmas season. Merry Christmas!!!!! You know what I guess I will just wish you a Merry Christmas. Good luck with shooting that beauty. I guess you didn't notice it is wrong handed. :biglaugh:
S. C. Hunter,
My compliments on you selflessness. However, stupid as I may be. I don't think so... ((:
Merry Christmas.

You did the right thing for sure. Beautiful bow! Congrats, and Merry Christmas!!
Great looking bow...very nice.
Careful... you'll shoot your eye out.
Isn't it nice when someone knows exactly what to get you?!
AWESOME lookin' bow! LOVE the wood combos. Don't worry about the shelf on the riser...it's definitely on the CORRECT side!
Roger that gobblegrunter!
What part of PA you from? I typically travel much of it for work.

Of course it's wrong! Tis the season for giving! This bow should be gifted to the tradganger with the cheesiest handle like "Okie Man." No need to wrap it, I've already seen the pics. Beautiful bow, Merry Christmas
I did the same thing, but bought a crossbow to trade to get a Bear Custom Kodiak T/D.
Beautiful bow! Enjoy!
I didn't know that Santa was a gifted bowyer.
I like that compass, very nice bow.
Wrong...of course not, only you know what you really want for Christmas.
I love Christmas shopping for me, I mean the family. Enjoy your bow. Cool compass!
I had a chance to spend a few hours with Martin and his new bow this afternoon. We spent a good portion of that time tuning his arrow to shoot perfect bullet holes through the paper.
We than took a nice walk through the woods and fields behind the house. As Martin shot I saw nothing but nock and spining feathers as the arrow streaked down the field. There's nothing quite like watching a perfectly tuned arrow cut through the sky!
Congrats buddy on your new bow!
Tim
Congrats! Beautiful bow.
Tim,
Tim,
Thank you! We took a great bow and made it perform as one with the arrow. I learned a lot from you today. You are one meticulous arrow tuner.
I will call you soon to just head out into the woods and shoot for a while. I was a little rushed today.
Again thanks. I had a great time!

I'm from Quarryville which is just south of Lancaster and about 20 miles above the MD line. Not too far from you, seeing that you're from the Phoenixville/Collegeville area. Let me know if your travels bring you my way!
