Post by: Bengal on December 15, 2010, 06:03:00 PM
Anyone have problems with stinger 4 blades whistling or making noise in flight?

Not at all I have been using them for a long time. There is the older ones that were not shaarpened on the back of the main blade. A few of them could make some noise. Other than that I have had zero problems with noise.

I have heard mostly good things, but a few have complained about noise. After reading some reviews on line I got the same impression. More good than bad, just wanted to check with some trad members. Thanks.

I have also used them for a long time and have had no noise issues with them to speak of.

They sure do work and you can not beat the warranty.

Was mentoring a young fellow a few years back. To make a long story short, he ended up getting a shot at a bull elk his first day in stand. He was shooting 40 lbs and shot completely thru that bull using a Stinger broadhead. The bull went about 40 yards. I was really impressed with the flight and with the penetration. And, no, he didn't have any noise problems.

Been using them for several years, outstanding broadhead and I've never had a problem with whistling. Have killed several critters with the same head, very durable.

My youngest uses them and she punched clear thru a quatering doe with her 44# recurve, no noise issues here.

Been using them for years. I did get a batch that had a slight rattle to them. Mike said to send them back and he would replace them. I just put a drop of contact cement under the Small piece that holds the bleeder on and problem solved. Make sure the screw is tight.

Good luck

I've been using them on and off for a while. No issues to my ear anyway with noise.

BTW, my son got a complete pass through on a buck with a Stinger 4 blade with a 37# recurve. Shot was 18 yards.

I used the 100gr. w/bleeders for awhile and didn't have any issues with them at all.
I killed a huge bodied spike with one and he went down within sight of me.
