I got the very 1st production (Yes, no. 1) of Mikes new 60" recurve! Man I don't even have the words to describe it! I draw 29" and this baby is a smooth puller for me. No finger pinch or stacking that I can feel. I have a small hand for someone of my height and stature, and let me say the grip is one of the best that I've felt in a recurve. The bow is extremely light in the hands and a joy to shoot. If you folks want a good stand and blind bow, or just want a great quality recurve, then give Mike a call!
Bow is 60", 50# @ 28". Bumblebee dymondwood riser w/walnut limb cores and black glass back/belly.

hey tw nice bow indeed congrats  :clapper:
Cool!
As usual, Mike comes through again!! Beautiful!
Stunning! Very nice Mike!
Obviously that bow has to come to me when you get tired of it!
Patrick, this will be the only recurve I keep but, if for some reason it has to go, you've got first dibs.
Thanks for the comments everyone! I did some shooting this morning and on the 4th go around, approx. 15yds across my back yard, I got the below grouping. I need to put some string silencers on it but, outside of that, it is a smoker.

Looks good!Nice grip and very nice arrow shelf design.Looks like it would sit very nice and snug in the hand the way the arrow shelf wraps over the meat of the hand.
I pull this bow about 53# @ 29". Would an Easton Legacy 2219 shaft cut 29.5 BOP, be to stiff for this bow? I would shoot a 175gr tip.
very nice!
That's a sweet looking bow, Congrats
I think the 2219 is gonna be a bit stiff personelly even with the heavy tip.Doesnt hurt to try though.Cut to 30.5-31 inches might do the trick with the heavier 175 gr. point.
One of these sizes 2018,2115 or 2020 would be better IMO.Is it cut to center?
The Stinger is an awesome creation.
That is pretty cool. :campfire:
I think I like Stinger! Great looking laminates
cool wood colors!
That is one awesome looking B...ow!
It sure looks like one of them big ol yaller bumble bees.
A long curve is a beauty to behold.. I'd love to be-holding that one or one like it.
Every long curve I've shot holds and feels almost like a regular longbow to me but shoots a little faster.
Good work Mike and congratulations Wannabe1 !!
Thanks for sharing.
God bless,Mudd
TW Was the first to order the 60" recurve so I marked it as such with the "001" stinger was a name for it he chose since he went with the bumble bee colored d-wood. The only thing I'd have done different is make the tips a little shorter; not much just about a half inch on each. But all in all the first I made, aside from my prototype, which I still have, it turned out pretty good.
I'm finishing up the second one ordered, it's similar but 35# @ 28" and I used candy cane colored d-wood on it, as requested but the cuctomer.
I like!
Thanks again everyone. I've been playing with and enjoying the bow immensely since its arrival this morning. It seems to like the EL 2018's with 175gr up front. I tried some other combination's but, this set up seems to fly better. The 2219's were a bit stiff. I am amazingly impressed by how well it shoots.
I've got some Cat Whiskers and limb groove silencers on order from 3R's. Once on, this bow will be ready for anything.
Mike you can send me that prototype for testing and review...lol
I'll take good care of it, shoot the heck out of it, train it up in the way it should go and ship it back eventually...lol
God bless,Mudd
The prototype is 60# @ 28". You can give it a try if you want. It'll have to be after the new year. I got 6 more bows to ship them i'm taking a break.

That's a great idea Katie!! Then a whole bunch of folks could shoot it.

God bless,Mudd
The website has the 60" Maddog recurve custom made at $375! WOW!
Best bang for the buck that I've ever spent! I'm telling ya, it's a jim dandy of a bow.
Cool looking bow.got the colors of somthing that stings.
im thinkin he's gonna beee buzy next yr.
Great looking bow, now just put her to work !
I'm glad I already put my order in for a long bow, looks like the line might be getting longer
In case anyone has plans or entertains ideas of ordering one of these bows, mine likes a brace height of 7". This really is giving me pretty good groups at 15-18 yds. Ok, gotta go shoot it some more! :D
I want to keep this around the top for a while to bring more exposure to Mikes new 60" Recurve.
That's a nice looking bow!
Go kill something with it!1 :bigsmyl:
Thanks Ben. I hope to get out and do some Spring Turkey hunting with it this next year. I need to find a good 2 blade broadhead that is 145gr. Anyone got a suggestion?
Here's a few of the 2nd bow I built from that form
This one's made from candycane dymond wood, it's 37# @ 28".

Mike, that is definitely a sharp looking bow. I love the various patterns of dymond wood you offer as it makes for a unique and one of a kind bow. I am absolutely happy and satisfied with mine!
