ok got a tim meigs dou flex td.70@28,and a sky hunter supreme with 60 and seventy lbs.limbs anyone tell me anything anout these.posted in the collectors forum and noone responded
Steve,
I have a dou-flex takedown from Tim as well. What I can tell you about it is that Tim can make you recurve limbs for that same riser, a takedown was called the "Mean Hombre". The Duo-Flex takedown limbs are not very "fast" by current standards and I am sure once you get around to testing it against other bows you will probably find that out. Not sure what it is that causes that but they are very stable and shoot well...just not speed demons. Other than that you have a good bow made by one of the old time greats. Have fun with it.
I have a Sky Hunter Supreme as well.
It was made by Earl Hoyt of Sky Archery in the 1990's.
I have 3 sets of limbs with weights of 40#, 45# and 50#.
I really like it and shoot it often.
It is hard to find info on the Internet about these bows.
Try a 'Google' search and some stuff will pop up.
Good luck.
Charles.
Tim Meigs is a legend in the achery world and one of the most famous bowyer's to ever walk.He is very respected by the bowyer's of today.About 10 years ago Tim was inducted into the archery hall of fame after 50 years of building bows.I am very happy to say Tim is a true friend of mine.Tim's bows are very well made.Hang on to that one,its a keeper!
so are they worth anything..i probaly have 350 in them, did i get took or what.....
$350 for the pair? If that's so, there's no way to get taken, but maybe you should watch out for the cops because they sound like a steal at that price.
It's not a bad deal if they were $350 each.(IMHO)
Congratulations!
God bless,Mudd
i want to trade one of them i think for a hoyt excel, wanna shoot indoor spots and the other half wont let me buy another one
I have never shot a Sky Hunter Supreme but have wanted to try one.
Congrats on your find.
