Would like to make some but have been unable to locate shafts. Any tips?
Allegheny Mountain Arrow Woods. I believe they have a web site. Keep in mind that hickory is a physically heavy wood. In moderate spine weights in 11/32 diameter shafts and a moderate point weight, the resulting arrow will be 700-800 grains.

I found the site yesterday, but they are listed as unavailable. I like a heavy arrow, I was hunting with 680 grain Doug. Fir this season.
Ash or Maple are also heavy and pretty tough. May have to heat straighten before stain/finnish.
They are available at Allegheny Mountain. I read the price list wrong. Thanks for your help.
Call Bill at Allegheny Mountain Arrow Woods, He has great stuff amd does great work!
Jim at JPE Trad Archery has some nice hickory and is a TG Sponsor.
Ted at Raptor usually has some nice tapered Hickory shafts. Yep they're heavy!
