Not owned a Scout but did have a Caddo and an Apache.  Fit and finish are tops.  Love Roy's grip.  I would not think twice about owning another.

Burt,
I had one of Roy's TD Scouts a number of years ago and loved it. Not the fastest bow I've owned (but fast enough), but extremely smooth and quiet. Roy's fit and finish is top notch. Roy also seems to put together some very nice wood combinations.
You can't go wrong if the bow shoot's good for you.

I've owned a Caddo since 02' and it remains my primary hunting tool.  I prefer it to Roy's other models because it shoots like a longbow, not like a recurve that looks like a longbow.  I prefer that feel, obviously not all people do.  The grip on my Caddo is what makes me love it so much.  Just enough shape to make it locate properly without having too much in the palm.  People say that Roy's bows are not the fastest; but, mine shoots within 5fps of my Bob Lee "recurve".  I don't know how fast a longbow needs to be to be considered fast; but, I bet it's fast enough!
Rob said it right.  Let the bow pick you.  Hold it, shoot it, listen to it.  If it says it's at home in your hands, keep it.  If not, keep searching.
Give Roy a call.  I'm sure he'd be glad to talk to you about it.

I've shot several of Roy's bows. Had him build me an Apache TD longbow. Believe it was 62' long 53@28. Great looking bow, that shot well, just found something else I wanted to try. Traded it for a Jack Howard made "Jet" which eventually went the same route. Can't own them all I guess. Roy's bows are easy to like. they look good and are easy to shoot. Roy is a great guy who will treat you right. Enjoy the ride.

Roy, make a great bow I have an Apache that may be the prettiest bow I have ever owned. Just awesome Bocote in the limbs.

Sweet shooter great grip. I have read many times how his bows are not fast, mine must be the exception but it is plenty quick.

Plus Roy is about as nice of a guy as you will ever speak to.
