Title: Martin X 200

Anyone have one of these?

I have a chance to buy a nice used 60" 35# @ 28" draw and wanted to ask you guys about this one.

Does anyone here know if these bows are cut past center?

I was thinking about buying it for 3d and at my draw length it may be shooting around 40#. So, if you have any arrow suggestions I would appreciate any info on that too.

I had one and liked it.  Very good entry level bow.  A search of the classifieds here may turn up more bow for what you want to spend.

Had one, really like it, shot better than I could. Good place to start without investing to much money.

I would buy another.

I think the X-200 is based off the D/H "Bandito".  The Bandito was 58" AMO and the x-200 is 60"AMO.

I shot this one for YEARS and still don't know what's "entry level" about it.

I have one thats 55 @ 28. I really like it and have killed several deer with it. One thing I really like about it is it doesn't seem to be super picky about what arrows you feed it.

Get it!  If you don't like it you could probably resell it for what you paid for it.  In the meantime you'll be flinging arrows!!

You guys sold me on this one and thanks for the info..I've never owned a Martin before and this info helps.

Can someone tell me if the X 200 is cut past center.

I have two walls full of bows.  My X 200 is no slouch.  Some very fine shooting bows suffer the "entry level" stigma merely because they have no fancy laminations in the riser, and didn't put a big dent in the owners coffers.  Too bad.  I believe the X 200 will do what fancier looking bows do.

10-4 I have Super Diablow 45@28 started both my kids with it. They still pick it up when they come back to visit. Bought it new in 1990.

I have an X200 and love it. 50# @ 28". Shoots great and when I bought it about 6-7 years ago I only paid $210, now they go over $400 at BassPro. Still a good bow for the money. I will never get rid of mine.

Guys...you all gave great advice on this one.

I purchased it and discovered real quick it's a shooter.

I have not put it on my scale yet but guessing it's close to 40# at my draw and the lower poundage sure feels good on my "ole" shoulder.

Anyway...I wanted to say thanks to all for the feedback on this one.   :thumbsup:
