There have been a lot of threads about tabs lately and I mentioned I build my own. I then got flooded with PM’s asking about the process. So here is how I build the tabs that I like to use.
I made a pattern somewhat like the old neet palm tab that I used before switching to three under

I then of course cut out the pieces that I need to make assemble the tab. I use four pieces. The largest piece is the backing. The dark piece is the cordovan, I also use a small piece above that and a piece to hold it all together on top.

Next I glue them all together with contact cement as shown here.

Once it is roughed out like this I will clamp it for a couple of hours to ensure a good bond.

I will then sew the border, trim the edges and add a wrist strap. You can also trim to adjust the size.

nice, how does it work?

Nice. Mine are a simple one piece I cut out of a single layer. I cut a hole for my middle finger. Certainly not as nice as yours, but I can crank out 5 or 6 in a half hour. The way I misplace them if is important to have several in all my packs :biglaugh:

I have made some also, very similar method to yours. I use a 3 under Black Widow for a pattern.
