Looking at purchashing this for the warmth/price/windshear....with the hooded pullover or the jacket would I still be able to shoot my bow I'm just not sure how bulky this stuff is..Looking for answers from somebody who owns this or has wore it any and all feedback is eppriciated..thank you!
I own the jacket and its cut to allow bow to be drawn. Its very light, very warm and very quiet. You wont be the least bit dissapointed. I am snagging some pants to match during the off season.
I've got a buddy that has some. He likes it very well.
Like mine alot, warm, and pretty comfortable, windstop can crinkle a little when its cold out, might just be my ears ? have windproof fleece from Predator and its not as warm, but very quite, not a sound, not priced to bad either, wear it with my asbell wool vest and have never felt cold yet, it was around 20 degrees, for my last sit. Todd
I have the Jacket and it is very warm, very good on windy days. This fit of the jacket is fantastic for bowhunting and the camo works very well in the late season. One of the best hunting products I've ever bought.

I agree completely! I have never noticed any noise from mine nor have I had deer seem to notice. They seem to look right through you. The camo doesn't look impressive to the human eye, but it apparently looks natural to critters. I think the wool may be more important than the pattern. They don't seem to notice me in my plaid wool either.
For warmth without bulk, I don't think you can beat the Wooltimate stuff. I have the jacket and pants that I got used in the bargain cave, but even at full retail, Wooltimate is a good value. You won't regret it at all!
I have the pants, jacket and vest. Great stuff, very warm and well made. The vest was probably the best purchase, I never leave home without it. I don't think you would be disappointed! Jason
I was looking at it myself, thanks everyone...sounds good.
I have bought just about every hunting garment known to man. I am done shopping for cold weather clothing. The Wooltimate stuff is my favorite at any price. It has the best properties of both wool and berber fleece, without the negatives.
Me too and its on sale right now, hmmm. I better check to see how many point I have saved up :D
I actually had a full set of KOM at one time, I sold it all because it itched me so bad and was very heavy. I hear the Wooltimate isnt so bad plus I like the windshear. I have a wool sweater with the windshear now and its great for late season layering.
Got it - like it ALOT!
I've got the vest and absolutely love it, wish I would have got it years ago, picked it up at cabelas in the bargain cave about a year and a half ago
I have the vest and love the camo pattern. It is very quiet and warm. The only negative is that briars really pick at the material and make it look bad. If you hunt around a lot of(or a few) briars you may not be too pleased with it.
Jason, there is no itch to the Wooltimate stuff.
It will pick up burrs. If I'm going into an area I know is full of burrs, I slip a pair of unlined bucksuede pants over the pants and an unlined saddlecloth jacket on top.
I've been using it for a couple years,it's holding up very well.I did have to remove the pocket on the vest because of string interference.
Leland
Very very helpfull thank you...now can you help me with sizes some dementions will help because im ordering it not trying it on so help with that is very much ablighed
I love my wooltimate jacket, i wear an extra large and the XL jacket gave me lots of room to layer clothes under it. It is well worth the money!!

Same here.
does it matter between the outfitter high plains camo or just the outfitter? for treestand hunting
I just received a vest and jacket in outfitter camo (has a little green).
Looks like great stuff.
I sized down and it fits perfectly. I don't like oversized coats with bulky sleeves or torso for archery hunting.
Great stuff. I love being able to throw it in the washer. Only con is the windshear on cold days I notice to make noise when I move.
I have the paints vest and jacket. I have had the paints and vest about 5 years. it does make a little noise but it will keep you warm.
I have the vest and jacket. I love both of them.
I had the pants and sent them back. I did not like the fit of them. Seemed to be an excessive amount of material in the crotch area. Kinda felt like I was wearing a full diaper.
I'm an X/L. 6'1" 215lbs with long arms, a 30" draw. I ordered the X/L in the Jacket, Henley and Vest. The Jacket was perfect but the Henley and Vest were a little on the big side for layering under the jacket. I was concerned with the Windshear liner and no stretch about being too small. Reordered the Vest and Henley in a large and it's perfect. The X/L stuff is heading back, seems to be a little larger than most X/L from other manufacturers. I think I'm going to love this stuff for Michigan's December hunting and you can't beat the price.
I've got the pants and coat. Very warm and quiet. In fact too warm for Colo bow season (Sept) and I want wear them in my Whitetail woods because of the burrs.. I got them for a Canadian bear hunt and stayed every warmmmmmm
Read this thread and just ordered them - good prices right now
Thanks guys!
Thamks all for the input it has really really helped me and I'd say a few others to...Thanks again.
Any thoughts on the two camo styles from the wooltimate? based on treestand hunting?
I think they both look good but for late season when I would be wearing them I like the regular outfitter myself. Where I hunt I think it will blend better.
I've worn a wooltimate coat and vest for several years, but mine do not have the windshear lining. I tried the lined versions on in the Dundee MI store and was shocked at how noisy the protective lining was, and that was at room temperature. I prefer to layer up under what I have and know that it will remain quiet. The pattern is very good, large shapes, with substantial light areas to avoid looking like a dark blob. The fabric gets rougher over time which helps break up light. No shine.
I have a set of Outfitter wool bibs and vest...worth every penny and I bought it not on sale a couple years ago. This year I bought the Wooltimate jacket and vest on sale...worth the non sale price. All mine has the windsheer lining. Plenty quiet. I used to have the berber fleece outfitter camo vest with windsheer. I left it on the hood of my truck in the dark (I think)and lost it. That was my favorite hunting vest for years. I also use the Outfitter Pro hunting boots. I have found the Outfitter line from Cabelas to be an exceptional value and everything I have had so far is very high quality.
I just ordered some pants to try, the sale price is a heck of a deal. Sounds like its a good product from the comments.
Thanks for starting this post mooseeye. The reason I'm not out there this morning is its 12 degrees, have nothing warm and the only stuff I have is cotton jackets and bulky bibs. I just ordered the wooltimate jacket. Thanks again....Phil
I have bibs, vest and jacket, put it on after I get settled in the stand, get too hot wearing it while moving there.I can finnally stay on stand in really cold weather, I love it!
WOW, I have some of this stuff coming sounds NICE and I will save about 500 bucks. BILL

I have the high plains. Looked like a great color in the magazine. In reality it's way too light colored for my area. Should have gotten the regular outfitter but it took me too long to decide. I still wear it and love the warmth. Not too bulky or heavy.
Cabelas is sure going to be proud of us!
I paid $155 three years ago. Those sale prices are killing me. I gotta find some cash to get the pants to go with my jacket. If I had the dough I'd buy another jacket as well just to stick away for down the road. The jacket is that good. I wear a light under armour hoodie for the walk out and then slip the jacket on. Hunted yesterday 25 degrees with a 14 mile per hour wind for 4 hours and was warm as can be.
I wear my wooltimate vest out to the stand , and then i put on the outfitter wool parka, it is a perfect combination and i stay toasty warm, even with the cold temps here in Michigan, and now I just might be getting the wooltimate pants to match for christmas, just a heads up the wool is on sale at cabelas as well as the wooltimate
For those that have done both, is the Dry Plus lining quieter than the Windshear??
I'm wanting a good set of bibs, they dont make them in Woolimate, but they do in Outfitters wool with Dry Plus. And wich is heavier fabric, Wooltimate or the Outfitters??
Thanks
Eric

More power to ya man... I was going to go out yesterday afternoon and gave it up... TOO COLD for these old bones.
I have the outfitter wool bibs, but only have the pants in wooltimate. The outfitter wool with the dry plus lining is very heavy! My shoulders get tired from wearing the stuff after about 9 hours. I can tell you the wooltimate is warmer than the outfitter wool and it is a lot lighter. The wooltimate is also less restrictive as far as movement goes.
Would someone mind posting a pic with their jacket and pants on? The reason being would like to see how bulky it looks and if there is full range of movement. Perhap even drawing their bow? Is that too weird :scared: Thanks.
Got mine ordered today excited to try it out really anxious for late season hunting waiting for a snow day off school, last year was kind of a bad winter here in Ohio and got tired of a thousand layers restricting some movement.
ordered a jacket and the fleece cap an hr ago!
ttt
Hi John - I've got the jacket and I would have to say that it's not bulky at all... but it is a little roomy (which I'm happy with) - enough for an insulating layer under it. You have to think of it in terms of a "shell" and use a mid-layer insulating layer as well as a base layer with it when it's real cold. It works by itself in the mild cold. Of course, YMMV... but I don't think you'll be disappointed with it - especially at the prices it's at right now.
Edit: I just noticed you're in Mississippi... that's a little different than here in PA!
Well this thread got me and I order me the jacket and pants. Would have order the vest too, last night it was on sale for $59 today it went back to $99 so i'll keep and eye out for it to drop again. Like they say "You snooze you loose".
I know I found the jacket a bit bulky in the sleeves and bought the vest as an alternative. With a wool shirt and an Asbell pullover under the vest I have the perfect cold weather combo.

If your not set on the wooltimate , the wool vest is still on sale for half price (49.99) just in case your interested
Hey Andy yea I want the one with the windshear material, i'll keep looking, thanks.
I have the pants, the pullover and the vest, and I am very very happy with them! the warmest stuff I own!
Are you all talking about the PULLOVER????
I find it hard to believe it's all that warm.
Normally pullovers are for "sorta" cold weather.
Wondering if there is a "parka" type jacket that you all are referring too that I can't seem to find on the site.
If you all are saying the pullover is nice and warm I believe you.
Just wanting to clarify what is being talked about exactly.
Thanks all!!
Yes, I am talking about the pullover with wind shear. I wear a thin long sleve shirt and a fleece shirt under it. if it is real cold I will put the vest on as well.
By the way, the pullover is not as thick as the pants, but it is still very warm for its weight.
I hope that helps
I do not have the jacket, but I hear it is nice as well.
The only problem I have with my wooltimate stuff is that it picks up burs like a magnet.
I just got some & really like it.Have always been a fan of the cabela's berber fleece & thought about getting more of it but decided to go with the Woolimate..no complaints so far, very warm & not bulky at all..
Just recieved my wooltimate pants and pullover went out and shot my bow with it on...just walking back and forth to the target a few times (15yds) came in and my legs were sweating a little bit it's 12 degrees here right now but wondering if I should have gotten the coat?...but am pleanty happy with the pullover I'm just considering 6hr. sits.
The pullover and the vest would be a good setup. I have the coat and it's nice, but the pullover would be just fine! Jason
got the vest and pullover i really like, very warm and not bulky, cant wait to get out in the woods tommorrow, and give it the real test.

how did the pants fit, were they pretty true to size
Somebody please show us your Wooltimate
I received the pants from cabelas today. I ordered a size bigger (36), in the waist than normal (34), thinking I would be wearing long underwear. They are a little loose in the crotch, other than that they are true. I washed and tumble dried them and went hunting. It was 29 degrees here this evening and I stayed warm without long underwear.
agross1 The pants fit great. I wear a 34 in my waiste so I ordered a 36 for a ltlle room they are adjustable I can tighten them or loosen them to fit great and the 32" inseam is true aswell very pleased.
I wore my pants for the first time tonite. 18 degrees and falling with a steady 15 mph wind. Sat on a stool in a snow covered milo field for 2 1/2 hours. Stayed warm as toast. I wear 40 levis and bought the 42 just for a little extra room in the legs to wear over my thin pants or sweats. They seem pretty true to size to me.
