Nope! Not a monster buck like you were hoping, but a trophy anyways! In fact, its my first doe kill with a bow. In the 12 out of my 24 years of age i've been bowhunting this is only my third deer but I am happy to say that i've recovered all three. Here's the story...rifle season has started here so I don't like to venture very far from home (the treestand behind the house works nice) because I don't feel like accidentally getting shot. It was a cold morning this morning (finally) with a nice north breeze hitting me in the face. Directly after daybreak was pretty uneventful except for a couple spikes. About 10:00 a.m. I was starting the feel the effects from the coffee and decided to start packing up to climb down when I heard something cross the creek. Four does eventually made their way to my right (which was downwind) and I thought the lead doe had figured me out. But for whatever reason she took one more step and that was all I needed. The shot was 12 yards, double lung, and a complete pass through. She ran a total of 20 yards and went down. My setup is a 52# Kanati, goldtips with two blade 125 grain magnus b-heads weighing in at a total of 550 grains. Thanks for reading!
The ranger behind me kinda ruins the picture but she dropped entirely too close to a path not to take advantage of it!

Awesome job!
Congrats Tyler!! :clapper: Nice deer, Shot and Bow!!
It's not a bad idea to stay close to home during the gun season, I have heard more shots in the last few days then I have in the last 5 years combined. I think everybody is having a good season :D
Tracy

Congratulations and thanks for sharing with us. :clapper:
Very nice, them Kanati's are shooters..
You are right it got cold here in Kansas finally. I missed the biggest buck in our part of the woods that i have seen in the last 20 years. I am glad to see that at least one Kansan can hit em when it is coldern old billy. I get a real kick out of using my bow in rifle season. Great shot, great eating. Great memories
Congratulations

congradulations!
You've got a shooter there, Great work :)
:coffee:
Very nice!
Great job! Glad to see you followed my instructions! That won't be your last with the Kanati, I'm sure. That is first blood with that bow, too. I never had a chance to get it bloody. You've broken her in right! Never minimize taking a mature doe. There is nothing much spookier than an old, long faced doe. Getting one with a bow is a true trophy. They are also much better eating than bucks.
Congrats!
Very nice. Such an accomplishment.
Congrats! :clapper:
Good Job!
Now thats a big bisquit.Good Job.
 Congrats! Wish my shop was that neat.
Good job and great deer!
Can't beat a Kanati, just point them in the general direction and lettem fly!
Way to go!
