For his 13th birthday I got my son a new midsize longbow from Mike Mecredy at Maddog archery (a tradgang sponsor). My son already had a midsize longbow, but a little smaller and lighter version than this one, and was not a takedown model.
This bow is 42@28 and 60 inches long. Riser is rosewood with a red accent strip, limbs are maple under brown glass, with red and white tip overlays.
I sure appreciate Mike building a great bow for a reasonable price, and one that will last my son a few years.

Thank you Mike! :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
Very Cool.
Very cool x 2! Mike, you've been holding out on us! You must have just started building the take-down or this is a one of a kind?
That's just plain awesome!!
Nice looking bow and young man!
Thanks for sharing.
God bless,Mudd
Fine looking bow! Love that full-draw pic. Do you have anything to hunt out there in Fiji?
Wow that bow is beautiful!!!!
I just ordered a pup longbow for my 6 year old, Ethan. We can hardly wait. I failed to beat the Christmas rush but I know it will be worth the wait. The only downfall is now my boy will have a much nicer bow than I. I wonder how hard it will be to convince his Momma to let me upgrade to a Maddog longbow?
Oops. I forgot to mention, that is a fine looking bow and a fine looking boy.
That is cool.
Very nice indeed! Didn't even know Mike made a 3pc. :clapper:
Cool!!
I didn't know Mike was making takedowns either.
hhhhhhmmmmmm..... :saywhat:
This was the first takedown midsize bow Mike has built. I told him, "I got #1, so this might be a real collector's item someday."
As for hunting in Fiji, I'm still trying to piece together the puzzle of hunting feral pigs and goats but my boys are keeping the feral pigeon population in check. They've shot a dozen or more "city grouse".
My youngest son still shoots a Maddog 'pup' longbow, my middle son shoots a one piece Maddog midsize longbow. I'm sure there will be more Maddog bows in the future for us.

My boy loves his pup longbow! Very cool.
Very nice.
Thanks for posting. Randy I'm not holding out, I do make takedown versions of my regular lines, but people really have to twist my arm. I'm finishing up one with a bow bolt right now. It's not one of my more favorite projects to build but I will do it from time to time. It is easier since I got a good drilling jig. That one pictured was the first take down midsized longbow I've made.
Oh man, takedown Maddogs! Trouble:)
Mike makes awesome bows. I bet the takedowns are great too!
TTT for Maddog Mike Mecredy and a great bow.
Great to see all that good shooting over there, Ryan! Happy days, mate!
Mike is the man! Boy that is a good looking bow!
