i plan on it after jan1. suirrel and rabbit go to feb 28 so does bobcat. coyotes are open season with no bag limit as long as you maintain your licence.im also in the process of organizing a local trad gang predetor hunt. it looks like a lot of funfor coyotes and bobcat i think you would need a 2 man team, electronic calls ar illeagal here. so you have 1 caller and one shooter. we will see what happens and we'll try to have some fun. ruddy

We hunt deer until the middle of January (the end of January in Alabama).  Varmints have to wait unless they happen by while we are deer hunting.   :)

We have so many yotes this year, I'm going to have to bring out the 22-250 for a while.  I really need to thin them out.

Anyone have a favored blown or manual coyote call?  I haven't tried calling them into bow range (preferring a spot where I have a 250 to 300 yard field of fire) and I think that may be some good bow practice to try calling them in.  Mostly I see $300 to $500 electronic calls.  That ain't bloody likely gonna happen.

I will be heading to Mexico Dec 9 for 6 days of varmit hunting with a bow.  I am going with Laredo Hunt Club. They offer deer and bird hunting.  I have been there several times for birds and varmit with a gun.  This time it will be bow only.  Their varmit hunts include coyote, grey fox, bobcat, cougar, javalina, hogs.  All inclusive.

How much do they pay you to go shoot their varmints for them?      :biglaugh:

Seasons not over yet, then I'll think about varmints. Nice diversion though.

My archery deer season will not be don until mid february, but some days are just better for yotes then deer.

I have roughly two more months of deer season.  Varmints - targets of opportunity at best for me at the moment.
