Anyone know if Gordy is still making L/B's anymore & possible WebSite ?? ThanK You, Adam
I have been trying to contact him over the past year or so. Several attempts to call and send emails have been unsuccesful. If you have any luck let me know. I have one of his bows I wanted to see if he would reduce the weight on.
You may want to contact Leo Markert (Longbowleo) he may be able to help.
Let us know what you find out.
Yep, Leo can help. Leo hooked me up with a Gordy Morey bow a while ago. It is 80# at 28" and is probably the fastest and best behaved bow I have shot. I take it to all the 3 D shoots. And, hope to get a hog with it soon.
Completely silent bow.

What is Leo's tie to Gordy? I don't get it.
Longtime buds
I do believe the "Markert Special" is named after Leo , I sold Leo a Sentman L/B once, Good Man & a BEAST for his age,, {I Hear} ...
Since Leo turned 71, he no longer shoots 100# plus bows. He shoots 80# - 90#s, now. What a beastly strong man!
Too cool.
Matt
Adam,
You are correct about the Markert Special. You may also want to try Justin Newell as well for info.
Leo helped gordy get started. He helped gordy in every way possible. He saw the potential in him and stuck with him and with gordys ability and leos knowledge gordy is one of the better bowyers that no one knows about. Get a hold of leo to get a hold of gordy. Leo just got a brand new lightning a few weeks ago and its one of the smoothest shooting bows I have shot. Great prices and fantastic bows.
Can't help you find him but I can show you some of his talent :) I don't own this anymore (sold it to jtwalsh) but the takedown system is by far the most unusual I have ever seen. This is really a solid connection but I guess it cost too much to mass produce (it's a prototype). I purchased the bow from the St Judes auction it was just a little to much weight for me but it was a great bow!!
