Title: selfbow bowyers

Thinking about getting a selfbow and want to know whats out there, so if you know any makers please let me know.

Check out Ted Fry/Raptor. He makes some beautiful stuff.

There is also a lot of information on this site on how to make one for yourself. A very rewarding endeavor.

Post this on the Bowyers bench and you might get a better feel for whats out there! StamM is right, you can learn to do it with help from this site!!

try ryan gill.gillsprimitivearchery.com.great guy and great bows.very affordable.he also knapps obsidian heads.i have two bows,dozen arrows with knapped heads and an elk hide quiver all made by him.hope this helps,steve

Jim Rempp in Missoula, MT.(406) 728-2140. Superb self bows, very reasonably priced. Jim is retired now and does bows full time. He has, I believe been featured in a Traditional Bowhunter magazine article by Paul Bruener. Extremely nice guy, superior craftsman.
