I have a coat that I would like to pass on to the right person. I am not sure how to do this correctly so please help me out here. I do not want the members to put their "circumstances" out here in public, but I would like this coat to go off to someone or their child that needs it and would enjoy it:
I have a quite warm LARGE fleece lined old style woodland camo hip length hunting coat. I have had it for 20 years and wore it on only one trip. It has hung in the closet all of this time. It has a Jim Dougherty Archery label in it. It is a well made item and even has zippers down the back of the forearms to snug it down. It got no wear only because I never liked the camo pattern but it is in near new condition and is a nice coat.
I will email a picture to anyone that asks. As the idea of giving it to a bowhunter who would enjoy it seemed right for the season, I will also kick in the shipping.

I'm blessed to live 3 miles from 2 different Salvation Army stores where I found my St. James Bay quilt lined wool coat for $6. I keep going back trying to find more, so I can do the same thing your doing, but no no avail yet. But just like my hunting season, I'm not giving up yet.
Thank You for what your doing, I'm sure it will go to a good home.
that would make a great St Judes auction item....
Well, this is not the way I expected it to go. But, I am a patient man.
Steve
Well, you are generous AND patient! Someone will appreciate the coat, I am sure.
Too small for me but a great gesture...PR
Steve,
I think what you are seeing here is the reluctance of good people to take something that another person might need more. That coat will serve someone very well, and a guy who doesn't already have one and doesn't have the ready cash to buy a good coat ought to be the person to get it. Most of us have been in a tight spot, especially in today's economy, and someone is going to be very happy to have the coat. I am pleased to see that the folks on here who don't need the coat are not asking for it and instead are waiting for the right person to speak up.
I think it is a very generous thing you are doing too, and if I did not already have more hunting clothes than I could ever use and did not have extra money to buy a coat, then I would take you up on the offer and would really appreciate having such a fine coat from a good person. I even wear size large. :) Many of us should be as giving as you are and post a giveaway of some of our extra gear.
Thanks for your thoughtfulness. It feels right during this Thanksgiving weekend. :campfire:

don't put me on the list but thanks for the generosity..
