Anyone have a 3 PC ghillie from sportsman's guide? I actually like the look of that suit better than the Rancho safari. Craftsmanship may be a huge difference here, that's why I'm asking.
Try a search for it. I'm pretty sure I remember some mentions of it on at least one of the Ghillie threads. The Rancho Safari I had was nice, but would be very hot for you in Georgia early season. I'm going to get a Bush-in-a-Bag from Big Jim before next season. The price is right and it looks very versatile. He has a good video of him showing it on his site.
I have had a Sportsman Guide ghille for a couple years; great buy for the money, I paid $70.00. I use the jacket a lot for ground hunting. Do not try to walk any distance with the ghille on, it will catch on everything and pick up everything; I carry mine to my setup.

tj-i have the guille poncho from "sportsman's guide". made some modifications for my bow arm and it work's great! several times had deer at 10-15 yds.!! can't beat the price! good hunting!
The one I am looking at is the 3 PC suit in the Christmas catalog. Is the poncho any different, maybe kinda like the r.s. long coat?
the poncho is one piece and just needs a little trimming and sewing for your bowstring clearance. for me, it's less constricting than a suit and works best for me! also, i think the poncho breaks up the human form better than the suit. hope this helps!

Kenny can u send me a link to that one? I can't seem to find it
Fountain- don't know about the poncho in the guide, but I've found the bush in the bag to work much better than my ghillie. The legs on my ghillie pants are still tied together from briers. Took them off, threw them in the corner and ain't looked at em again. I can set up and put the poncho on in seconds. If I decide to move, it is only a few seconds to tear down and put up and then on the way.

That poncho on the guide looks nice too. I would think that the big sleaves would require extensive work to make them bow friendly though, but I'm shure it can be done. The sleaves on the bush in the bag have elastic cuffs and are relatively close to the arm all the way from the arm pit. Just put on a arm guard and maybe trim a leaf or two and shoot!

Big Jim-actually my wifes friend cut/sewed the poncho sleeves for me and was done in half an hour and it has worked good for me! it wasn't extensive at all. plenty of clearance to shoot and still good camo! Thanks.
