Just picked one up used, looks like an interesting bow. Anyone out there ever shot one or owned one. This one is a 2 pc with a sleeve, 64" 49# @ 29". I think it maybe a handy bow to have for packing in or canoe/kayak trip....Any thoughts.... thanks ron w
I used to have one, it was too heavy for me, or I would still have it. Great shooter, and Jerry (the bowyer) is a great guy. Great bow!
:bigsmyl: Nice Find Ron.
Ron,
I owned a Coach Whip. Very well made, very good cast, and was quiet.
Good Shooting,
Craig
Good for road trips on your bikes.
I have shot one before, very smooth. The bowyer lives only a few miles from me. He doesn't build bows anymore, but sure knows how. Jerry Barr is is name, one heck of a guy to!
For a bow that I never heard of there seems to be a real positive response....that's good.....I always wanted to try a sleeved 2 pc here's my chance!!
I thought Rich Haffner owned Thunder Mountain now, he bought it from Jerry Barr. I had a Coyote prototype by Jerry Barr and Rich reduced the weight for me.
I have a Thunder Mountain Coyote flatbow Proto#4,it is a sweet shooting bow.One of my favorites bows.
I know several people that have them and like them.
My whole family shoots Thunder Mountain Bows. Jerry is a family friend and makes one heck of a bow. The coachwhip is a smooth shooter and pretty quick. I personally have one of the Coyotes and a Lobo. Great bows and Great find
