I just wanted to pass this info along. Gene Wensel has commissioned a very talented artist to compile a montage print of the late Paul Schafer. Gene has sent me an artists proof and the print is beautiful. It is my understanding that all proceeds from the sale of the limited edition print will go to benefit the Foundation for North American Wild Sheep. Anyone interested in learning more about the print or in purchasing one may visit the Wensel Brothers website at www.brothersofthebow.com (http://www.brothersofthebow.com)
Best to all, Peter

That is very cool Peter! Real art!
-
Very cool!!!
-
Crap, I'm running out of money! That is beautiful. I rather doubt those will last too long. A real piece of art depicting a significant period of modern day archery history.
-
Jon that is one great buck!
Peter
-
Peter, thank you very much. I've smeared the picture of this buck all over the internet worse than the Rampola buck! Take care.
-
Peter,
Thanks for putting this up...I just got two reserved
-
Wow, That's awesome!!
-
That is way cool! What a great way to honor the man and benefit a good cause at the same time.
I'm in!
-
Me too!
-
Curt and Jon,
Those really are two beautiful bucks! Hmm...Maybe you guys can take me hunting next fall I'd love to get a whitetail like those! Curt, I finally filled my elk tags. No big bulls, but hey cows taste better anyway...
-
I believe i may have to get me one of those.
-
Hey, Yak-a-Hoosy...
I went to the frickin' web site and couldn't find anything about the Schafer print. Heck, I was one of his hunting partners and HAVE to get one! What the heck do you click on there to find out about it????
Fired a warning shot at a goat here in New Zealand a couple of weeks ago. He was kind of stupid and I wanted to educate him a wee bit.
Also, my computer got wiped and I don't have your contact info anymore. Email me at [email protected] with new details.
Hugs and kisses, Petey!

Got it, guys! Thanks! I was retired...now I'm retard!
Ordered two of them suckers! I see my favorite photo of Schaf leaning back against the bull he shot in B.C. is in there. I have the original, which he gave me. This means a lot to me...great memories will now hang on my wall!
Gene and Barry...Thanks for something very special! Gene...I heard a rumor that you had a pierced naval with a gold ring in it. If that's true, how did the guy get in there to do the piercing? I'm really curious. How about a photo of that for us archery collectors!
Hasta what?

Peter, anytime you wanna do some hunting, just let me know! I'm in!
-
Thanks guys. The low serial numbers are going quickly for sure.
-
Gene- the picture looks awesome. I talked to Peggy and Dave the other day and they were both very happy with it. How long until you and Barry leave for Texas?
-
Too Short....you'll have to look closely to find any body piercing on me. Remember when you got your nipple pierced and I attacked you with the comb? A BORROWED comb I might add......
-
Lost my coffee.........thanks Gene. :biglaugh:
-
he he he!!!! A borrowed comb. HA!
Gene you answered one of those 'hmmmmm' questions for me.. "do dwarves HAVE nipples?"
-
Dwarf I will send you all my personal contact info.
Jon, are you serious? Be careful I may take you up on it. The last really nice whitetail I killed was in Illinois. But that was a long time ago...I have been kinda a mule deer junkie since then. But I'd love the chance to kill a nice whitey!!
Gene great job on the print! I have had several people contact me directly and I've sent them to your website. I think you may owe me a steak and a beer somewhere down the road. Maybe we can invite the lil' dwarf...He loves to buy me dinner, plus we can relive some of the good ol' days!!

Patiently waiting for my wife to get home to get the approval to order one!
Lee
-
Peter, yea I'm serious! Anytime! I don't have much for hunting land, but I'm sure we could figure something out. I shot this one in just a really little overlooked place!
-
Well Lee?.......what's the vertict?
-
Hey Gene, are you going to have these at Kalamazoo?
-
Jon,
Shoot me an email sometime [email protected] we can talk about trying to get together. I may have some connections in ILL. Look forward to possibly putting a hunt together.
Peter
-
Sorry, Terry! Wife gave the OK, order placed seconds after the approval! She knew I would pout and mope around the house if she said no!
After 25 years, she's kinda got me figured out, or trained, I'm not sure which, or both!!!!
Now comes the wait.
Lee
-
I'll order mine in the morning.
-
That looks real nice.
-
Up. I just recieved mine today. This print is even more beautiful in real life! It's going to look great in my den, and will server as an inspiration and a reminder of a great bowhunter, whom I never met, but sure wish I would have.
I think a print like this is perfect for your home den because it conveys the passion of traditional bowhunters. I've got a buddy who is a compound guy and he told me that "just looking at that picture is making me think more and more about trading the compound for a recurve like your." Cool!
-
Mines at the frame shop......found a frame and mat combo that is really going to compliment the print.
-
Terry,
Can you post a pic when done? I am making a bow rack out of an 8" Birch log and was thinking I would frame my Scafer print using smaller Birch logs.
-
I will have one framed up with a barn board frame and matting at Kazoo.
-
I got mine back from the frame shop today. I chose a wooden frame that is antiqued with kind of a leather look that came out great. I'll bring mine to Kalamazoo too. BW
-
Since you two are bringing prints to Kalamazoo, I seem to remember a guy who ordered two of them right away...
-
AWESOOME
-
Steve-O,
Most people paid for theirs in advance and didn't give me the "I'll pay you in Kalamazoo" line.... Ha! No, your requested numbers (99 and 100) are enroute from England. I hope they arrive before we leave. If not, I'll take your money at Kazoo anyway :>)
-
Roger that...I'll have a boatload of cash there for you ;)
-
Still waiting for mine!
Has anyone told Dave and Beth about the print? I'm sure they would probably want one.
Lee(waiting for mailman)
:banghead:
-
Lee, yours should be there Monday. I sent one to Windauers already. Steve-O, your requested numbers arrived from England today so I'll have them with me in Kazoo. Sleep well.
-
Barry- Which frame is cooler: The frame with my picture? Or the frame you bought? Wait, don't tell me, I think I already know the answer... :D
-
Gene- I've got something to send to you and with Kazoo and TX, I was wondering if you'd be home much in the next couple weeks. Thanks
-
Gene,
Thanks for the info! I was at A.C. Moore's with my wife checking out frames and mattes, and decided to have them custom frame it for me.
If anybody has framed theirs already, some pics would be nice to see the different framings.
Now I wish I didn't hve to work Monday!
Lee

I ordered one, wonder how long shipping takes?
-
Tyler,
-
Tyler, I'll be home four days...January 23, 24, 29 & 30 then gone until March.
-
Somebody must have a photo of a framed one??!
