Alright a lefty too. Congratulations! You can't go wrong with either Mike.

well that is a real nice looking Bow. congrats!!
Cool bow but the rest is on the wrong side. Looks like a real shooter.
dont worry fellas i can shoot almost as good on the right side as the left so if need be i can shoot a right handed bow. its a fun challenge try it some time.
Nice ! Like that beaver grip. KYArcher
Mike sure does make a nice bow and, the other Mike makes good arrows so you will be all set.
yea paul im really happy with the bow and cant wait for arrows so i can shoot it. my old ones are way to stiff for the lighter poundage. bout where in n.e. ks are you i ask cuz some time id like to find some local guys and do some shooting maybe throw some arrial discs to.
I'm north of you up in Jefferson County...
Nice bow. Better shrink the picts or they will be pulled.
Good looking bow, she has some great lines.
I love my 54" Mariah recurve Mike built me. Congrats on your new bow.
Nice looking bow!
how do i shrink the pics i though i resized them when i posted them
Mike is a great guy and does make some nice bows. One of the lightest smoothest pulling bows around. Good luck to you.
I have a Kestrel (54", 43#@28) that I bought from another member a few months back. It has a Wenge riser section, black locust cores and Tamo Ash Veneers--it is a beauty. Beavertail grip. It is quiet, quick and light, and shoots where I'm looking. I have a small concern--I am used to Widows and other bows with heavier riser sections so this bow feels almost delicate to me-- I'm wondering if I have to baby it a bit? Any opinions?
i know a few local guys that prefer wild horse bows over black widow any day and have been shooting there wild horse bows for years and years with no problem. i would say the bow is built to hunt and shoot with. its a tool , sure i try to keep from giving it any abuse since it is just wood but by no means is it less rugin than a widow. your bow sounds great i like the light poundage bows. theres no need for all that poundage unless its dangerous game or anything thats just huge compared to a white tail.
Nice Bow! Want to sell it. wait a minute its a lefty, that bow stinks never mind.
No really nice Bow.
Susan,
Bring your bow over, I'll tell you if there is anything wrong with it. And then, I'll tell you how much its worth as I shove some cash in your direction.
Nice toes.
Thanks Kansas. Sell it? I don't think so--just looking for some reassurance from those more experienced than I. I've only been at this oh, 35 years or so......
Very nice. There are a lot of talented boyers out there. Many I've never heard of.....as this one.
Huntryx - I am glad you like your new (to you) Kestrel. Don't worry about babying your Kestrel. It is built to withstand the rigors of the field. The black locust limb core material is as tough as they come and the bow has at least 6 coats of epoxy for a finish. Use and enjoy the bow, just don't abuse it and it should give you many years of service.
Thanks for your comments.

Mike--thanks for the input-- the bow is super!
very nice :goldtooth:
Very nice looking bow, but the pictures are WAY too big. Go back and edit each picture (you can set up photobucket to auto resize for you so you don't have to do it each time). Be sure and click on the APPLY button after resizing. Then you can edit your pics in your original post. Send me a pm if you need any help!
