Title: keeping a glove on?
Post by: AkDan on November 18, 2010, 01:08:00 PM
I remember reading awhile back about putting something in the stalls to keep them on your fingers and cant remember what it was?  Anyone remember off hand?   I have the a hill style glove that actually fits though the straps are a little long and the stalls want to slip off.

Rosin?  (aka weightlifting chalk).

Just as a guess.

Wax works when it is colder, but it does not work in summer heat as well.  I use snow seal inside and foot powder outside. I have one finger that always likes an extra stitch most of the time.

I use a baseball pine tar stick.  I heat it a little, rub my finger tips across, and work it into the stalls. (credit to Jerry Hill post on gloves)

That  is one of the reasons i use a tab.  Besides the fact that they are faster. Plus you can keep them on under a mitten  and keep your hand warm.  They also don't cost as much and it is easy to make your own.
