My nieghbor called me over today to show me a BEAR TARTAR RECURVE.....He aquired it during a remodeling job he was doing for a guy down the street.
Does anyone have any idea what it's worth ?
It's in mint condition .I doubt it's ever been shot , still has the original bowsock , no marks at all on the bow.....it is pristine.
the specs are:
KJ3784
AMO66'
25#
Thanks for the help :bigsmyl:
I believe the TG moderators frown on folks putting value on bows.
Your best bet is to check the completed listings on that auction site, but like others will say..."it's worth what someone is willing to pay". That's kind of simplistic, but there is also some truth to it.
If interested in selling, put it in the classifieds at a price you come up with, and if it sells, that's what it's worth.
Your bow was one of the few target models that Bear introduced in the early 60's, along with the Tamerlane and Temunjin. Your bow was made in the 1970's.
Don't sell it. Keep it and shoot it.
pictures? :readit:
I sold a few of these in recent years. Most went for about $125-$150. I don not recall getting over the $175 for even the best looking one.
It's not my bow , i was just checking on the value per my nieghbors request....not really sure what he has in mind as far as selling or whatever.
I have owned a few bears but i didnt know anthing about the tartar.
I really appreciate the input........thanks guy's.
Id have a look on **** and see what people pay for other tartars but I would be thinking cherokee is about right around $150.
