My new Buffalo is scheduled to arrive Friday. Can't wait to shoot it, will post my thoughts later. Thanks, Bob
That design is in intriguing.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and seeing some pictures of your new bow!

Cant wait till Friday either, just to here the input about this bow!!! Keep us posted. Thanks Chris
Any word on the buffalo?

Congrats on the new bow. The new Hoyt is a cool looking bow for sure. I just wish they would've made it ILF instead of coming up with their own system that forces you to buy their limbs.

Its Monday, did it come?!
Pick it up in the morning, set it up and shoot it. Will post my thoughts later.
Thanks, Bob
Must have sent it pony express????
OK, I have it setup and shooting with my Beaman Classic's and 125 pts. The bow is 60in and 45lbs. I only have had time for about 30-40 shots, but is smooth, quiet, and goes right where you look. Very happy, will be hunting with it in the morning. I might add that I have been bowhunting deer since 1959, and have owned numerous recurves.
Thanks, Bob
Isn't that the Bow Fred Eichler uses now?
Yes, this is advertised as the Fred Eichler signature bow by Hoyt. It has his name on it in couple of places. The name Buffalo is because a water buff was his first harvest with it. I will be hunting at Fred's ranch next Sep.
Thanks, Bob
Is this bow able to adjust poundage? In the add of TBM is says, "With fully adjustable weight and tiller,".
I haven't recieved mine yet but I've read it's tiller is adjustable to shooting style and weight has 2# adjustment. I'm really looking forward to getting mine. I also have a question iawoody2. Is the bow cut to center or past? Man I can't wait I have some radial Xweaves 200's all ready and waiting.
Bob,
I hate to be the one to burst your bubble however I must let you know.
Your going to like it.
The tiller is adjustable and you can adjust draw weight by 2# . It's an awesome bow
If you look in the Hoyt catalog the riser is a short version of there Olympic bows. I would not doubt if the limbs were also, just camo'd or wood grained up. For the price I think it will be hard to beat. I may have to have one myself!!

Yes, I believe the limb fittings are the same as their Formula Risers. There are a lot of people upset with them however, because of the non-ILF fittings.
I've had my Buffalo (45@28) for a couple of weeks now and can say I prefer it to my Gamemaster. I'm shooting footed Easton Axis .400 arrows that weigh a little over 500 grains and it really seems to cast them with authority. ILF would have been nice, I was going to buy a second set of limbs until the shop quoted me almost $400 dollars for them.
That's why I bought a second complete bow. Now I have 2 setup and ready. A 45 and a 50.
iawoody2 you're killing me. I ordered mine 6 weeks ago with an extra set of limbs. I have the limbs but no bow yet and you have two already......argggggh
bigugly, when you get it you will love it. I went to a indoor 3D shoot last weekend with my 50lb and on targets from about 12yds to 35yds I shot 51 vitals out of 56.
pics??? please
Iawoody did you get the hoyt quiver with yours? Ive been waiting since mid november for mine!
Can anyone shed any light on the correct length?? Are they being offered in 58 and 60" or 60 and 62"?? I have heard that there was a misprint in Hoyt's catalog's etc. Thanks!
Are they smooth on the draw? Quiet? They seem quick on the two trad shows I have seen them on. So--they are adjustable up or down 2# in draw weight? Is that right?
There is a 2# weight adjustment. I don't think you can go two pounds either way just 2# less I believe. I have not adjusted mine for I have no reason to adjust it. I also heard that the bow is available in 62" and not 58" My bow is 60 that is the only length I am sure of. Very smooth quiet and pretty acurate still practicing.
I played with one out at the archery shop last night. Wasn't sure about it until I had in my hands. Just wish I had $650 laying around for it now.
iawoody2 - Sure glad Fred's 1st harvested game with this bow wasn't a field mouse.
