Title: Fedora xcellerator
Post by: S.C. Hunter on November 17, 2010, 12:54:00 AM
I am getting a new to me Fedora xcellerator longbow. The bow is 62" 57#@28". Current owner shoots a GT 7595@30" BOP with 250 grains up front. I shoot 5575@29.5" BOP with 225 grains up front. The bows I shoot now all shoot this arrow very well. Do I need to go to the 7595 with this bow? I don't know how these bows perform vs my current bows. I pull 28 1/4" and the bows I shoot are mild R/D and the weight of my current bows are all within 1-2 lbs of this bow. I am also looking for wood as a possible choice. How do these bows perform by the way. I have heard good things.

I have a xcellerator that I recieved new this past June. At that time I had 2 D bows one being a slight r/d. The Fedora and the r/d were both at the same 38#@27". The r/d bow has a 12str D97 string and shot a 1716 easton arrow at an average of 167fps. The xcellerator shot the same arrow with a 10str B50 string at 173fps. With a 8str 450+ endless string it shoots an 1816 at 175fps. I have been working with some 1813 and the bow spits them out at 186fps. The bow performs and after awhile it feels just like an extension of my arm, just point and shoot. I think you will like!

With that much wt. up front I'd say the heavier spined shaft, but you may be fine, as far as the Bow, they are very good performers ... Good Luck ...
