What do you use to clean and or protect the finish of your bow? How often?

I just used some old car finish that is safe for clearcoat that was on the workbench. It seems to do a very nice job as long as you do not mind a little shine.

I just put wax in any scratches and give it a wipe over every now and then.

I use Bees Wax to help keep my bows weather resistant & wipe them every once in a while.

The bow string is waxed more frequently.

I use johnson paste wax about every 3-4 months on the bow and wax the string about 2 months. Do a general wipe down 1x a week.

I don't use anything over these epoxy finishes. I just wipe them with a damp cloth when they are dirty. I used to use paste wax on the poly and Tru-Oil finishes, but it clouds and hazes in wet weather, which bugs me for some reason. I just dry them off when they get wet, and put another coat on when they get looking thin.
