There are a ton of arrows on the market today so lets hear what you use and whether it is hunting or just target shooting.
I use carbon express 250 with a 100 grain insert and a 125 tip. With my Damon Howatt 63 pounds at 28 inches, I need some more weight I know but I'm working on it.
So what do you have?
3R trad only 300's with 225 total on front
surewoods with 145 on the tip
I make my own, and prefer woodies with a 160 grain point. Mainly target shooting and stumping. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v103/scattershot/IMGP1947.jpg)
POC, Fir and Magnolia
Surewoods for sure!!!
Another surewood user here. Target and hunting.
Surewoods also for me.
Easton xx75 2216's. Full length for my 32.5" draw.
Surewoods only for me too!
when it comes to arrows, it's a very Very VERY personal thing - what works well for me might never ever work at all for you, and vice versa.
this is as subjective as finding the *right* stickbow that works "best for you, and not me".
sorry to say, but anything else is purely subjective opinion ... and you know the intrinsic value of opinions. :D
I love Surewood Firs. One of the nicest arrows I'd ever made. But if I could only choose 1 for the rest of my days...hickory with 160 on the nose...
My alltime favourite arrow is Axis N-fused, 4x4" bannana feathers, 18% FOC, 9.7 gpbp. Works for me ! cheers Pete.
Homemade cedar and douglas fir with 125-135 grain heads.
Easton 2117's, easy to get and fly perfect out of my bow! Jason
I guess I'll be the odd man out.
Arrow Dynamics.. Yellow letter Nitro Stingers with 145 gr heads. Also shot some AD Medalist. These arrows perform quite well for me running about 10 gr/inch when done and the FOC is built in. I am planning on trying some of the AD trads. Bit more weight.
I have made and shoot some wood stuff. POC and Doug Fir both tapered and with 145 heads. Planning on trying Surewoods.
As Rob said... its personal
Right now I use Easton ACC 390. But I'm lookin at some Victory HV3 350 shaft they are 6.7gpi and have a spine of 350. Can you say EFOC.
I really like Beman MFX Classic 400"s and 500"s. 100 grain brass inserts and 125 grain points.(although I'm hoping to shoot somrthing soon with Centaur Big Game head on the same 400 spine arrows. (they seem to shoot really well at 10 yards and under in practice).
GoldTip 35/55s with 100 grain brass inserts and 125 grain Phantoms.
Easton Camo Hunter aluminums in sizes 2117 and 2114.

Easton 2016's when I shoot aluminum;
5/16 ramin from Twig archery when I shoot wood.
Really like them surewoods.
Man I am an odd man out . . . Beeman ICS bowhunters 200 grains up front 18.75% FOC!!
Gold-Tip Traditionals....35/55's left full length (30 1/2") with 50 grain brass inserts on the business end.
They shoot out of EVERYTHING that I own.
Winterhawk1960
any arrow that flies off my Bow perfect be it poc rivercane 2016 legacys axis500 and 35-55
What are surewoods? I haven't heard of them. I shoot what ever flys well. Mostly I am shooting aluminum now but carry a self wood nock sinew reinforced ash shaft with a flint head for the next buck that gets with in 30 yards or so of me.
I use GT 5575 cut to 29.5" bop with 50 grain insert and 175 grain points. They fly great out of all my bows. I also love wood any wood. I seem to shoot more accurate with wood don't know why.
Even with carbon having a tighter tolerence than natural wood, I shoot wood better. The carbons last a long time.
Bamboo arrows from Glacier Traditional Archery, Terry Dunn's (Rubydog) wood arrows and Easton 2016s and 1916s.
Goldtips in 35/55, 55/75, and 75/95 depending on the bow...
Surewoods love them
Extra extra heavy for their spine 11/32" tapered poc from Rogue River.
So far my favorites are http://www.hildebrandarrowshafts.com/products.htm
Would like to try the Surewoods to compare...
cedar , douggie fir , spruce , 2016's ...mmm.. I think I'll take tapered Spruce from Raptor Archery .
My home made bamboo ones and home made oak and ash.
Man it seems that people really love those surewoods if they are shooting woodies..
Douglas fir from Surewood.
Beman MFX Classics are my favorites. I'm on my 2nd dozen this year. I've broken only one.
The ones with the frothy blood up to the fletchings :D
Ash.
tapered POC, Microflites, and Easton Autumn Orange are my favs.
My favorite color is:

Trap
I love wood,POC,but most of the time I use Carbon Express for convenience.I still love XX78,great shafts but a little bit noisy.Their spine in anyway the most consistent.
Easton Nfused for now. VERY awesome arrows for the price. But I'm making the transition to woodies, and hope to never look back.
Ive shot alot of arrows through the years.I really like woods.Best woods i ever shot are whisling winds by bob burton.I shoot arrow dynamics lites because i can shoot rocks and they hold up.
Easton Xx75 gamegetters. Really want to try some woodies though.
I LIKE WOOD!!!!! I'm an old "wood"chucker.....
Nothing beats the pride I feel when building a dozen POC woodies.
But then again I love Goldtip 35/55's for ease of use and durability.
Kip, Surewoods are Douglas Fir from Surewood Shafts.
I've been a dedicated wood arrow guy for many years and douglas fir has long been a favorite. IMO, it is the best shooting of the arrow woods and the Surewood fir is the best I have found. I like the Hildebrand Sitka Spruce when working on a high FOC. It shoots great and is very tough, too.
I have been testing a new carbon shaft called the Ironwood by Quest Archery products. It is a tapered shaft and has a perm woodgrain finish. A real shooter.
Beman MFX and Easton Axis.
I use to shoot nothing but wood, cedar, ash, ramin.
Fought the carbon persuasion as long as I could. Now my preference is Beeman MFX AND Carbon Tech.
If someone would design a carbon that had a cedar aroma impregnated into it they would make a fortune.
Good Shooting,
Craig
