"WOW!" is all I can say. You guys have not disappointed. I have ended up scheduling a hunt in Nebraska that I will be leaving on the 10th of December. What better way to shorten the long drive from CA than to be mulling over the hundreds of entries. So, I have decided to end the contest a few days early so I can review them on my looooong drive eastward. I'll let all of you know by the 15th what I've decided.
I have to confess, I've temporarily used up all of my creativity working on getting this bow ready for production and I still haven't come up with a name for it. :help: So, I decided to enlist some help from my fellow tradgangers and give away one of the new longbows to the winner. Before you attack your keyboard, let me tell you what I am after. In addition the the bow picture (also, check out this thread for more pictures and description http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=096291 ), I will also be building a traditional longbow handle that the limbs will interchange between the two handles. Also, I will be building interchangeable recurve limbs for the two handles.
Pictured are the carbon inlayed limbs
(http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n583/bivyhunter/longbow.jpg)
So, here is what I need from the winner: three names for each handle (there will be three different models for each handle, distinguished by different patterns with the accent stripes like my recurve line) for a total of six names.
You can spin them as a theme, or come up with six random names. I will keep the contest open until December 15th. Post your ideas on this thread and I'll be taking a bow order on December 16th. I'm looking forward to your help!

Wow! Very nice!
How 'bout:
1. tule
2. yosemite
3. sequoia
4. 49'er or sourdough (might work better for legal reasons)
5. shasta
6. smith
The Prestige - The limbs with carbon just looks like a very high class prestigious weapon.
The Sahara- Some of the wood on the limbs just screams the great desert.
The Specter- Some of the bows just have a magical ghostly aura, it just sounds a lot cooler than ghost.
The Jester - colorful and fun but deadly and sly.
The Forest - The green limb combo on the website just makes it feel like its a organic living thing and the green is beautiful.
The Tradition - I think this name is a given.

Possibly after a "Mountain" as a referance to the "High Standards" which your bows are setting in the Traditional World...such as:
Mt Raineer
Mt Hood
Mt St Helens
Mt Rushmore
Mt Mc Kinley
Mt Adams
[ or simply drop the "Mt" and use the names: ie Adams, Raineer ect.?? ]
[ This one is fairly "Origional" so I'll keep it as a possible suggestion ] :notworthy:

Oh and this is more than 6 but how about Hermes? Its greek mythology and he was the messenger of the gods and was the guide of the underworld. Kind of a dual play thing when it comes to hunting.
Murcury (hermes in roman mythology)
Christian based names (except The Native) -
The Native, Genesis, The Origin, The Righteous, The Eternal, The Guardian
Yeah, Gene, I was trying to think of names that would be acceptable to the predominantly-American assemblage of traditional bowhunters. But, now that you mention it, we do have a few True-Blue Australian names that would be appropriate:
1. Fair-Dinkum!
2. G'day!
3. Stone the Crows!
4. Starve the Lizards!
5. She'll Be Right!
6. Mate
I could go on:
7. Platypus
8. Numbat
9. Wombat
10. Old Man Emu
11. Never-Never
12. Spinifex
13. Bloody Hell!
14. Pie Floater (it'd be popular with the South Australian bowhunters)
15. You Beauty!
16. Rip-Snorter!
17. You Little Ripper!
18. Dundee
19. Clancy
20. Sunburnt Country

How about the "Stalker 360 ". With the ability to go from longbow to recurve with two diferent style riser's seems like this might be a good bow that has come full circle.
Or maybe the "Stalker Storm" Or "Chamelion" or maybe "Stalker Still Hunter"
Good luck to all, I'm sure you will pick a good'un

Strident - (recurve)
Strident II - (longbow)
Prowler - (recurve)
Prowler II - (longbow)
Intruder - (recurve)
Intruder II - (longbow)
Let's not get too complicated, 'cause I'm already confused.

Just an idea, and since I didn't read all prior posts please forgive me if the idea has already surfaced, but we recently celebrated Veteran's Day in honor of our armed forces. I can't think of a 'cooler' way to honor these brave men and women than to name a portfolio of bows after something connected to their sacrifice and determination. A few ideas:
Some famous ships (or ship classes) that live in history:
Aegis, Arleigh, Ticonderoga, Bainbridge, Ramage, Milius, Arizona, Oklahoma, Vestal.
The helicopter gunships that enable critical work to be done, and one 'essential element':
Apache, Blackhawk, Cobra, Cheyenne, Tomahawk, Hellfire (missile)
Brave men who led our forces:
McArthur, Eisenhower, Marshall, Patton, Pershing, Sheridan, Stockdale, Nimitz
Reminders of those front-line and oft forgotten heroes or symbols who/that help keep us free:
Veteran, Soldier, Valor, Salute, Honor, Infantry, Medic, Victory
If by chance any of these names end up being chosen for your new bow line I'd appreciate if you would please send the prize bow to one of our soldiers (man or woman) serving on the Afghan front. Lord knows they deserve it.
1.)Death Stalker
2.)Silent Stalker
3.)Silent Death
4.)Death Sting
5.)Silent Sting
6.)Silent Striker
MINE.,..L.O.L....OH thats seven.
How about the "Stalker Convertable Series"
As far as risers go, you could have the "Convertable Classic" and the "Convertable Vanguard"
So, you would have the:
Convertable Classic
(classic longbow handle, base longbow limbs)
Convertable Classic SLC
(classic longbow handle, carbon longbow limbs. SLC = Stalker Longbow Carbon)
Convertable Classic CSR
(classic longbow handle, recurve limbs. CSR = Classic Stalker Recurve.
Convertable Vanguard
(High wrist handle, base longbow limbs)
Convertable Vanguard SLC
(high wrist handle, carbon longbow limbs)
Convertable Vanguard CSR
(high wrist handle, recurve limbs)
I think that pretty much covers it...
The stinger
1.Prowler
2.Shadow hunter
"Cheveyo" sounds like Sha-ve-0 means spirt warrior.
I have no names but put me down for one, They are B=E=A=U=T=I=F=U=L

I love this idea (and the bow too!)
Here it is.
The Iroquois nation is (was) composed of six tribes.
Mohawk
Oneida
Onondaga
Cayuga
Seneca
Tuscarona
These tribes formes a confederation that much of our government is based on (representation of common folks). They knew more about good government than europeans ever thought of.
The series could be called the Iroquois and the individual pieces could be names after tribes.
I think your bows would really honor these first Americans.
Any way that's my idea. Hope you like it.
Prarrie Dog
Ok, here is what I submitt, For longbow lets name them after the 3 species of Wild Turkeys. The Eastern,,,the Osceola,,,The Rio Grande". For recurves name them after the three most popular deer in the U.S.,,,,The Whitetail,,,The Black tail,,and the mule deer. The styles could be for example,,Eastern turkey hunters hunt thicker cover and would prefer a shorter bow as the shots are closer and they need room to manuver,,a western mule deer bow would have longer limbs and a whitail recurve would have shorter limbs for stand hunting. This could be a series of bows and limbs with several combinations.
REALLY Nice looking bow!!!!!
My suggestions :
1. Werewolf / Werebear
2. Shapeshifter / Transmuter
3. Shadow Walker / Shadow Seeker
--- or ---
3. Omnibow / Dualist
5. Darkling / Two Tales
6. Metabow / Inverter
Or any combination of the above!
Personally I think Stalker Shapeshifter & Shadow Walker has a good sound to it :)

WOW, this has already exceeded my expectations and it hasn't even been 24 hours! I sure appreciate all of your creativity and enthusiasm! I can see that it isn't going to be easy and I might have to build more than one bow if I find a couple of different winners (spread the wealth, eh?) I've gotten more than a few good laughs also. For those of you wondering, the woods in the handle are figured Bubinga and snakewood, with purpleheart, satinwood and bloodwood accent strips. The carbon is cut to butt to the veneer on the back of the limb. I'd have to concur, Ed is winning if it were sheer enthusiasm we were judging on. I can see I'm going to go through a ream of paper when I print this out to pick out the names. Carry on...you're only making my job harder!
OMG BEN>>> YOURE CUT OFF!!

Nice looking bow and with the success from the prototype... Seems to be Mr Mojo!!!
A lot of jokes in poor taste could be added... from "Just Pat, After the the SNL skits... Or Switch-Hitter, but as fun as those tasteless jokes are probably inappropriate for a fine bow...
On a Serious note A few came to mind...
1.) Mr MOJO (as stated above)
2.) MOJO RISING (from "The Doors fame- also a tribute to his fascination with Native American Culture)
3.) But despite the initial success, a name is an image and says something about the product.... And in that spirit, " Dual Threat" seems more appropriate" for the bow...
But whatever it is named, it sure looks like a winner!!!

6. Soulmate
My thought includes something from your name since you've taken Charlie's fine line and given it your own unique twist with this longbow.
I also thought it might be easiest for your customers to track if there was a name for each longbow riser style, then a common designation to show the upgrade levels.
For your the new longbow you have pictured: the Stalker "South Wind"- in Classic, Custom (or Deluxe), and Premium (or Safari, or Elite) grades.
For the more traditional style riser: the Stalker "South Breeze"- in the same three "grades."
The names promote the Stalker reputation, give YOU well-deserved recognition as the bowyer and designer, and give a warm, friendly feeling when I hear them.
I have a couple variations of these in mind, but that was what first "hit" for me...
Best wishes with your new product line
Daryl
Here's mine only one...

with so many options why not introduce it as the Stalker Transformer.

I like this one the best so far! And you could offer a "special order" version of 48" called "The Eight Dwarf"
I came up with a few. I did not read through all mentioned so I hope Im not suggesting something that has alread been mentioned.
I really like this first one since the riser will accept either longbow or recurve limbs!
The System LB (Longbow handle)
The System RC (Recurve Handle)
then depending on the riser wood choice and accents you would have one of the three ie.(The System LB-Standard The System LB-Classic The System LB-Custom)
For the same reason I also like this one.
The Switch LB (Longbow Handle)
The Switch RC (Recurve Handle)
The naming convention from above would apply here as well. ie.(The Switch LB-Standard The Switch LB-Classic The Switch LB-Custom).
" The Superlative " could be used in the above fashion as well.
These last two ar my picks if you wanted a unique name for each handle, but it still reverts back to the Stalker "S" theme, as do the ones above.
For the longbow handle I think " The Stalwart " would be nice. Stalwart is defined as "having rugged physical strength; a strong loyal member of the party. strong, sturdy, tall and well built". Sounds perfect to me! The Stalwart Standard The Stalwart Classic and the Stalwart Custom.
For the recurve hadle I like " The Scholar ". The Scholar Standar The Scholar Classic and The Scholar Custom. The Scholar would indicate "newer ideas".
This was fun, thanks!
South, since you are a bivy backpack/wilderness hunter I think you should name them after your favorite wilderness areas or mountain places you like to hunt. You could call it the Stalker Wilderness Series with names like:
1) Gila
2) Pecos
3) Carrizo
4) Katmai
5) Cohutta
6) Jarbridge
I did a quick search and came up with these, but there are many others you may like better. Best regards, Rick.

This theme represents some of the current hunting cultures of the world which rely on subsistence harvesting.
Inuit
Batek
Aborigine
Bushmen
Pirahã
Bambuti
1. Inuit - Hunting has always been an important aspect of the Greenland Inuit culture:
"The Inuit culture is the most pure hunting culture in existence. Having adapted to the extreme living conditions in the High Arctic of the North American continent for at least four thousand years, Inuit are not even hunter-gatherers. Inuit are hunters, pure and simple."
2. Batek - The Batek (or Bateq) are an indigenous people (currently numbering about 1,516[1]) who live in the rainforest of peninsular Malaysia
3. Aborigine -Indigenous Australians are the original inhabitants of the Australian continent and nearby islands and the descendants of these peoples. Indigenous Australians are distinguished as either Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders, who currently together make up about 2.7% of Australia's population.
The term "Aboriginal" has traditionally been applied to indigenous inhabitants of mainland Australia, Tasmania, and some of the other adjacent islands
4. Bushman -The indigenous people of southern Africa, whose territory spans most areas of South Africa, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Mozambique, Swaziland, Botswana, Namibia, and Angola.
5. Pirahã - The Pirahã people (pronounced [piɾaˈhã]) are an indigenous hunter-gatherer tribe of Amazon natives, who mainly live on the banks of the Maici River in Brazil's Amazonas state, in the territory of Humaitá and Manicoré municipality. As of 2004, they number about 360, which is sharply reduced from the numbers recorded in previous decades, and the culture is in danger of extinction. The Pirahã people do not call themselves Pirahã but instead the Hi'aiti'ihi, roughly translated as "the straight ones".
6. Bambuti - The Bambuti are pygmy hunter-gatherers, and are one of the oldest indigenous people of the Congo region of Africa. The Bambuti are composed of bands which are relatively small in size, ranging from 15 to 60 people. The Bambuti population totals about 30,000 to 40,000 people.

Going with what is on your website I would stick with using the Letter "S" in the beginning of the title....
Here are my three!
The STINGER
Definition of stinger
n. - One who, or that which, stings. 2
The STREAMLINE
Definition of streamline
a. - Of or pert. to a stream line; designating a motion or flow that is free from turbulence, like that of a particle in a streamline; hence, designating a surface, body, etc., that is designed so as to afford an unbroken flow of a fluid about it, esp. when the resistance to flow is the least possible; as, a streamline body for an automobile or airship.
The STEADFAST..
Definitions of steadfast
a. - Firmly fixed or established; fast fixed; firm. 2
a. - Not fickle or wavering; constant; firm; resolute; unswerving; steady.
I would call this entire set the "Sweet Transition Series".
That is the first thing I thought when I saw the wood transitions on the handles and the limbs. And when I read the rest of what you were looking for, I think it even fit better when you said the bow handles would transition between recurves and longbows too.
Then I would name each of the parts after transitions like
1.) Exemplify
2.) Consequence
3.) Exception
4.) Emphasis
5.) Diversion
6.) Consequence

Arcus sagitta - Latin for Bow and Arrow
The Latin word for an archer is "Sagittarius", (plural "Sagittarii")
Therefore, based on your concept of multiple limbs and handles that interchange I suggest "Sagittarii" as your new bow's name.
Since Latin is the foundation of many languages I can see the name of your bow being the foundation of a new era in your company and your line of bows.
The Stalker Sagittarii - The foundation of an archer.
this is it for sure...
1) the 'Clubber'
2) 'Anvil'

The Stalker "ACDC" use either the Longbow or Recurve riser
Ok, here what I came up with. One thing, I don't think it should be too complicated. I think you need names so customers will be able to easily distinguish what bow it is they are ordering. For that matter, if you get too many different off the wall names for so many bows, you will never be able to keep track of what's what.
So the name for the traditional handle longbow riser will be.....CLASSIC...
The name for the more recurve like handle will be... HYBRID...
I think you should stick with the names you already have for the different accents. Something you and your customers are already familiar with...SURGE... STEALTH... STRIKER...
The two new limbs will be distinguished by...
CURVE (for the recurve limbs) and
TRAPPER (for the reverse trap longbow limbs)
The carbon option will simply add ..CARBON.. to the name.
Now, these names will be combined to determine what bow and options they want. Each variety will have 3 names , unless they decide to add carbon then it will have a 4 name description.
I think this will be easy for the customer or you to determine exactly what they want.
I will give a few examples. traditional handle, medium grade riser, and longbow limbs would be the..... CLASSIC STEALTH TRAPPER
The more recurve like handle, fanciest riser, with recurve limbs would be called the.....
HYBRID STRIKER CURVE
If someone wanted to add carbon to this bow...
HYBRID STRIKER CURVE CARBON
As you can see, the first name describes the style of riser
Second name describes the riser accent configuration
Third name describes the limb type
The fourth is used only if they add carbon
The carbon inlay on the back of the limb could be designated by the term ..FOOTED
But I think 5 words may be pushing it and would be better just listed as an option?
So you can keep the names you already have. SURGE STEALTH STRIKER for the original recurve. If you ever elect to build and add carbon as an option to one of your original recurves, Then it would become simply the....STEALTH CARBON

This theme is the various most common names of the mountain lion.
Because of their enormous range, mountain lions are known as "the cat of many names." The mountain lion has more names than just about any other animal in the world. There are at least 18 South American native terms, 25 native North American, and 40 English names for mountain lions. From porcupines (quills and all) to moose and with the flexible spine like a cheetah's to help them maneuver around obstacles and change direction quickly, this mostly ambush hunter is the consummate predator.

If you want a sexy name I am sure there are better answers listed above. But it has been my experience in retail industry that when a company offers multiple similar related items, it needs to be kept as simple as possible. An example being I had to re-read your first posts a few times to be sure what exactly you were building. I could see by your complete explanation you were concerned we might get confused. You can also see this in the posts above, not everyone understood how many you ask for.
Fred Bear did this right with his takedown bows, risers were named A, B C, limbs were 1,2,3. That is very easy to understand. 40 years later, we still understand his versions of this bow.
In doing this customers will better understand what you have to offer. How many people do you thng will not be able to spell or even pronounce some of the names suggested above? You are in the business to sell bows, not make fancy names. If you make a great product, the name will not matter too much. A customer understanding the product and knowing what to order is far more important.
So, I suggest you consider this;
Name your Riser A and B, name your patterns 1,2, and 3. Like this; AR-1, AR-2, AR-3 (AR representing model A Riser, pattern 1, 2 and 3) and BR-1, BR-2, and BR-3. You could also add an L or R for left or right hand, such as BR-2R.
If you expand models in the future it will be easy to add a new number that your customers will understand.
Good luck with your venture.

Saga is related with the theme of legacy, tradition, and deep history, all of which relate to the longbow. Boomslang
Its name means "tree snake" in Afrikaans and Dutch[2] ("boom" meaning tree (a cognate of "beam" which means a long and large piece of wood, generally a support in a building), and "slang" meaning snake).
Whipsnake\\Striped Whipsnake
The Striped Whipsnake is approximately 30-72 inches (76–183 cm)in length. This snake exhibits black, dark brown, or gray coloration on its back across each of the first four plate dorsal scales, which often has an olive or bluish tint. A white to cream colored stripe down its side that is bisected by either a solid or dashed black line. The coloring on the snakes belly tends to be cream to yellowish, fading to white toward the head, and coral pink toward the tail.
Lets have some fun. Name it after some tradgangers.

Interesting Tidbits
The teddy bear
In 1902, the 26th President of the United States went on a bear hunt, but refused to shoot the bear cub. A cartoon appeared in the Washington Post to publicize his ethical decision. So popular was Theodore Roosevelt's decision that a toy stuffed bear was created to celebrate the event. And thus was born the Teddy (Roosevelt) Bear
The stock market connection
Spanish caballeros roped grizzlies, dragging them into doomed public battles with wild bulls. This popular spectator sport inspired betting as to whether the bear or the bull would win. This gave the modern stock market its "bear" and "bull" nicknames -- the bear swipes downward while the bull hooks upward

2. Shikari Legacy
3. Shikari Elite
Recurve Riser: "The Sierra"

Theme is the various names of the Panthera onca, the jaguar.
While the jaguar employs the deep-throat bite-and-suffocation technique, it prefers a killing method unique amongst cats: it pierces directly through the temporal bones of the skull between the ears of prey (especially the Capybara) with its canine teeth, piercing the brain. The jaguar has the strongest bite of all felines. (One bad kitty!)

Something tells me Friend is really wanting a new bow.... :biglaugh:
I think Friend swallowed a thesaurus. I bellieve based on the title and the first post that South closed that part of the contest already as well.
Wish you luck on your Nebraska hunt. If you come through Casper, Wyoming please give me a call.
Hey Friend, would it be easier just to post a link to the dictionary?
:scared: ;) :scared:
The theme is 'desirable qualities in a bow'.
Instinctive--------Natural grip – a high priority desirable feature
Static------------Stable and steady
Tranquility--------Smooth, quiet & free of vibration (or tranquil)
Terminal--------- Lethal and terminal performance
Craftsman--------Workmanship, durability and energy efficient design
Nirvana-----------Complete enjoyable shooting experience

Love that Snakewood. All the woods are very nice. Like has been said the high desert is what the theme seems to be to me. IMHO
I have a friend who is a wonderful (and very wealthy) businessman. One of the mottoes he stands by in making important marketing decisions is that "Minds Hate Confusion."
If I see a store named "The Magnet Maven," I won't walk two blocks to go see what it is... because I don't care enough to try to figure it out. It probably wouldn't matter anyway, because the store is probably already closed because the name affected too many others in the same way.
The application, here, is that I wouldn't think a lot of people want to have to figure out what distinctions six different names mean in a line of two new longbows. I could be way off, but still stand by my suggestion from W-A-Y back on page 12 of this interesting thread. One distinct model name for each of the two new bows, and three easily understood and matching grade levels in those models.
Thanks for the fun and mental exercise your contest has provided here on the 'Gang. Have a great trip, and good luck choosing from all these names!
Daryl
QuoteOriginally posted by Hawkeye:
...I also thought it might be easiest for your customers to track if there was a name for each longbow riser style, then a common designation to show the upgrade levels.
For your the new longbow you have pictured: the Stalker "South Wind"- in Classic, Custom (or Deluxe), and Premium (or Safari, or Elite) grades.
For the more traditional style riser: the Stalker "South Breeze"- in the same three "grades."...

Post says winner on 18th.
Guess we gotta bite or nails a couple more days.
:scared:
Oh sweet jesus I cant take the suspense! I hope the best man wins.
Good Luck every one!
Well there was only about a million suggestions.
I didnt post any...not creative enough to think of anything else! What other ideas could there possibly be?! It HAS to be a chore to narrow all of these great suggestions down to one single winner! Best of luck in making the decision! I too will be anxiously awaiting the announcement!
Just like Christmas eve :)
Really looking forward to the winning combo!
Someone will get a great bow!
:help:

I know right.
Not sure if I'll be able to concentrate on my hunt tomorrow...lol
No PM in my box letting me know I won :saywhat: . Congrats to the thoughtful person who hit the right combination of names.
I would love to be the winner but what ever the outcome. Good luck to everyone.
God bless and Merry Christmas
Man, I am not good with the suspense.
Can't wait to see the name that were selected.
The suspense is killing me to! I keep checking my u2u's at least twice a day!
Good luck to all!

Best of luck to everyone. I say most important is Bivyhunter's consideration of our input. I'm sure his choice will be well considered. Much thanks for the opportunity.
Good luck to everyone.
Hey guys...
I think South's hunt is running a little later than expected and he doesn't have access to a computer.
If all things go as planned, he'll have a winner by the 20th.
Thanks for understanding!
Ryan
I understand fully..... should I e-mail you my mailing address so South has that handy as soon as he gets home?
Brian, Great Idea he may be to busy when he gets back and you can email me for him.
Sorry guys.
Just got an email declaring me as the sole winner.
Then I woke up...lol
!!! JUST KIDDING !!!

First off, I want to thank all of you that contributed ideas. With almost 500 entries and some of those with 20+ names, you definitely made my work challenging. I spent hours pouring over all of the suggestions, got car sick several times, went cross-eyed on multiple occasions and am handing you the winners a couple of days late. My apologies about that, I thought I'd have internet service where I was at, but didn't.
A couple of members suggested that I keep it simple, rather than come up with six names, use fewer. I took that to heart (my memory leaves a lot to be desired, so fewer makes sense in my book). I have chosen the names "The Tracker" for the top end model, "The Scout" for the mid and "The Bushwacker" for the "working man's bow". Actually, I decided to modify the "Bushwacker" to "The Bishwacker" in honor of the founder of the company, Charlie Bisharat. He'd actually named one of his previous bow models by the same name, so it is just a renaming of sorts. The winning entry is Bill Carlsen.
Now, to distinguish the two handles, the classic longbow handle will be called the "Classic" and the hybrid will be designated as the "Hybrid". I know, duh! But sometimes the obvious stares me right in the face and I still don't see it. For pointing out the obvious, warden415 is going to have a nice new longbow himself!
Thanks again for all of your help, you guys far exceeded my expectations! Next time I need help, I'll be sure to call on your help again... Hmmmm... the dishes are stacking up in the sink, anyone want to wash?
Congrats to the winners. Will do dishes in trade, LOL!!

Good deal! Now make sure we see some of these new models at KaZoo next month! Thanks for the chance, and thanks for the great bow you built for me this year!!!
Mike Gerard owlbait
My wife just sent me out to get a lottery ticket! It's been about 35 years since I won anything like this. Very cool. for sure I will be putting in for a Maine moose permit.
Congrats to warden415 and Bill Carlsen!

Enjoy your new longbow guys!
Congratulations guys! Thanks to you also South!
Way to go!!!
Congratulations to Bill Carlsen and warden415.
Your entries were well chosen and should serve Stalker well.
I wish to extend my appreciation to South for his generous offering and the inspiring challenge it presented. I have received my reward in full. The challenge stimulated my brain and provided hours of enjoyment. My wife and twins have endured critiquing some of my proposals. Other's found some relief in poking fun at my zealous effort, while deservingly so, nevertheless provided additional entertainment. Many of my entries were possibly less than insightful while probably even tormenting to read through. What did you expect from a guy whose knowledge wouldn't even fill a thimble? Thank you guys for only shooting blunts from extremely light bows.
Congratulations, to the winners! :clapper:
Congrats guys,Huge participation,I guess there's a lot of bow lovers!!!
congrats!
WOW , not sure what to say? Except Thank you!!!! I did put some thought into my post and name choices but never actually thought I would win!!! South , thank you for allowing everyone the chance at a beautiful bow. I was in the car and checked my email when I discovered my name was chosen. I started screaming and yelling to my wife that I had won a bow. Her response.... You didn't win anything, this is going to cost me money, I know you! lol
Thanks again, Steve
Steve, congrats and thanks for the great idea. I'm going to try the "I've just won a bow" screaming thing just before KaZoo and Compton's and see if I can sneak a new one in that way!
Good choice South, Bill and Steve you will be very impressed with the bow, It is a shooter and has some pretty fair speed. I shot the prototype and after a few shots I felt very confident with the bow. very easy to shoot.
Awesome... this was fun, thank you and congrats to the winners.
Brian
Hey south why don't do give us another swing for your other bows in the works eh? :goldtooth:
Very Cool, congrats to the winners, this was a tremendous gesture.
Congrats to the winners!
Congrats on the winners! If South's longbow shoots anything like the Stealth recurve I have, look out!!! :campfire:
Grats Bill and Warden :) I'm guessing xmas wis extra good this year ;)
And South, thanks again for the opprtunity!
Congrats to the winners and I would like to say that I think this is really generous when a bowyer offers up 2 bows for a "name the new bow" contest like this. South, my hat goes off to you sir. :clapper:

Congrats Bill!
Just so you guys know...the Tracker is a real person...Tom Brown. Google him and read all his books. You may find him to be a bit "out there" but that's where the thought for the name came from.
Congrats guys! South, I'll gladly wash some dishes in exchange for a new "Tracker"! :D ;)
Congrats to the winners and to South for doing this. It was fun.
I bet it also turned into something like "be careful what you ask for" as this had to be more work going over the entries than just naming them. :-)
But good marketing too ;-)
congrats everyone :clapper:
Congrats winners & donors!
Congratulations guys, we'll need pics once South has you set up.
