out of the two which do you feel is a beter broadhead for hunting? and why?
I like them both equally well. I use and reccomend either. If you like pre sharp the stinger of buzzcut,. if you want to sharpen your own the Woodsman. God bless you and have a great evening , Steve
Both are great heads as long as you have them sharp! i've killed deer and hogs with both. If they are dull, they are both crap...
Woodsman.RC
Keep in mind that my choice is only an opinion.
If my set-up will yield a pass thru on most any likely shot placement, then I would definately select the woodsman.
If my set-up would not yield a pass thru on most any likely shot placement, then I would definately select the stinger.
Perfect shot placement is not the norm and the minimum set-up should be avoided. The bow and the complete arrow design should be prepared for the unexpected.
Just my opinion
Out of the two, I have only used the stinger. I love em. Razor sharp so they leave a great blood trail. Also super tough. Shot a deer through the shoulder and it only went about 40 yds. Shot through a buck and the arrow stuck in a tree, and bent the head. Magnus sent me a new one.
I've used both and love both. If you're going to use the Stingers, I would suggest the Stinger Buzzcuts. Mike Sohm, who owns Magnus, told me at the ATA show a few years ago that he uses the Buzzcuts. I shot an antelope with a Buzzcut last year and the head performed flawlessly. They fly very nice.
That being said, if you know how to get a three blade razor sharp, either the Woodsmans or the Snuffers do some serious damage when passing through a critter. I'm using Snuffers now, but any of the three are excellent broadheads in my opinion.
I would say it's simply a matter of if you want to sharpen your own or not like Sixby said.
They are both good heads. but I like the woodsman.
I've used both, magnus leave a nice trail to follow, have'nt had good blood trails with the woodsman, deer keep falling down in sight, really like the woodsman. Todd
