I am hunting some open land next to a fenced 600 acres. I watched a huge 8 pt ( on the other side of the fence
!["" "[dntthnk]"]("graemlins/dntthnk.gif")
) breed a doe. A 6 pt was grunting and chasing does back and forth. Soon there were two 6 pointers on the other side of the fence.
On MY side, I had two spikes that were sparring and a 4 point. I could have shot any of them for about 7 minutes but was hoping for a bigger fella to come along.
Sounds like an exciting Morning?
Stay near that fence they( in my area) travel along fence lines. You will hopefully get one
yeah, esthetically the fence is plain ugly but it serves the same purpose as a steep ravine or creek.
Cool! Sounds like a great morning to me.
I have a similar hunting location and I swear the friggers know the property boundaries better than I do. :p
