This all took place about 10 yards in front of my Double Bull blind. I've seen very few deer lately but the big doe is on my hit list. The buck is a new one on me....never saw him before these pics.

Yep...we have lots of porcupines. Would you like a few?
No thanks Bill, I would take the buck and doe :bigsmyl:
Wow bill that is a monster buck good luck at getting him I hope to see hero pics with u standing over that buck god bless David
I know a guy that trad hunts porcupine  He says they taste great. I'll take his word for it. Beautiful buck Bill. Looks like the same spot as the coyote.
Cycli-rivers...yep....same spot....bad timing. I would get up early tomorrow but have another commitment. But Sunday AM is looking good.
As for eating porcupines....their only natural predator is the Fisher. They can eat all they want. In fact, we had a bunch of them last year showing up at our stands. One night I caught a pic of a Fisher....we never saw a porcupine on camera after that. I wish they would eat coons...we have a ton of them.
nice pictures what a buck
Oh man that's a big doe. I see lots of sausage in her. Great picts.
Bill, if you dont mind would you send me the grid coordinates for that buck? Hes a fine one, good luck.
Nice deer! I would love a bag full of quils if you have any lyin around.
Great Pics Bill  That Buck is a perfect 10? :archer: Doe's a cow too! :archer2:
Nice pics Bill. If you get the buck and he has quills in his nose ,you'll know where they came from.....

Venison on the hoof!
My goodness!!!
Sleep well Bill. :D
I gotta get me a game camera! Thanks for the images. That pair sure get your senses tingling!
Nice buck! You needin' some help up there?
Hey Bill,
Are you taking that spot or are you letting the wife have the first sit? Very nice pair of deer you have there. Enjoyed the pics & look forward to some with you in them.
Dan
Those are two very nice deer. The doe looks as if she's dancing around the porcupine and teasing the buck.
BTW - Bill, how's the natural deodorant stick working out for you?

Our deer seem to be unusually nocturnal around here this year. I attribute it to very mild weather and little cloud cover which gives the deer plenty of light to move around.
I need to find out if it is legal to arrow coyotes here. Lots of them howling at night.

Thanks for sharing. Either animal would be a trophy and probably good eating!!!
Crotch horn....Laura has her own stand that I set up for myself two years ago. She doesn't get out as much as I do since I'm retried and she still works part time...but she keeps taking on work and the part time thing is really a joke now....she designs websites. But her stand gets most of the activity and she shot a four pointer there a week before I got mine. Does really seem to like where she is sitting and the bucks are always checking at that location. She wanted an IR camera so the pic quality is not as good as the cameras I like so many of her pics do not get posted. She sees a lot more deer than I do but won't shoot a doe...it a mom thing. I sure would like to get a crack at both those deer. I still have two tags so I'm sitting tight in my Double Bull. Trouble is, we only own 23 acres and we are landlocked by posted land so I really can't play around in the deer's core areas. We have to rely on mineral licks and a bit of baiting to keep them coming thru our property. They pretty much have us figured out but mid November bucks like the one here show up at all times of the day. I'll probably be out there in the morning tomorrow. They are starting to show themselves more lately and my optimism is pretty good right now.
Ric... Laura had some of Tom's deodorant which is odorless. It is not very long lasting but I take a shower before I go out each time and use it right after I get out of the shower. After this season I will try out a few of the other products you guys recommended and see how they work. But for now the Tom's seems to be working fine for my evening sits. By the way....where does one find the deodirant stick you are referring to?
