I own one of Neil's take down Longbows. This is one bow I will never part with. I have owned a lot of bows and the Bears Paw is staying. My favorite part of his bows are the finger grooves on the riser. Not much of a speed guy but it definetly compared to anything else I've owned.

I have 2 take down longbows from Neil.  When I was in the hunt for a traditional bow, I just happened to meet Neil, at the time he didn't have a recurve that was to my liking so I shot the longbow, three arrows later I knew it was what I had been looking for.  Great guy, great bow, quality service!
Last week a guy came up from Central Utah to shoot mine as he was deciding about buying one.  He went home and put his other bow up for sale so he could get one.

Tim said it better than I did. You'll know once you shoot it! By the way check out Tim's armguard Knife combo. WORKS OF ART. I am constantly on the look out in the classifieds for Neil's longbows. The problem is they are hardly ever for sale. If I am correct PastorSteve got the last one on the classifieds and that was one of the less than five I have seen in the classifieds in a year. They buy them and then keep them. No bigger statement to quality than that in my opinion.

The riser is Ebony with bocote and a red accent strip, the limbs are bocote.  I don't have pictures of my other, go to bow, on photo bucket, let me see what I can do over the next couple of days.

Here's another one for you.  Cocobolo and osage with canary limbs.  It has darkened up some since I took these pictures.  Really pretty now.

I had a takedown longbow a few years back.  The grip on these bows is second to none.  Mine was 60"  72# @ 28".  It was fast and quiet.  I really liked it, but I didn't have the time to shoot it enough and the weight on this particular one proved to be too much.  That being said, I still wish I wouldn't have sold it.
