Fenix handheld light have rave reviews but I much prefer headlights and was wondering if they are just as good as the handhelds. I don't care for hat bill clip-ons or sweatband type of straps with handheld lights rigged into place. Currently use Princeton tec headlights but the Fenix SURE IS TEMPTING.
I was planning on buying one of the HL40s, but looking at them, they did not have as many levels of output as the handhelds so I bought the Fenix headlamp setup to convert. It is not your run of the mill setup. I'm going that route with my handhelds.
Hard to believe nobody is using one. Guess I'll have to get one and do a review.
Hi from Spain
Using the HP10 from some months ago, excellent product, bigger than actual headlamps from brands as Petzl, but more powerful,225 lumens. Use AA batteries, cheaps and easy to find inclusive in "exotics" countries.
Now, is the only light in my pack(and we hunt pigs at night), no other lights, except one smal E+Lite from Petzl as backup(another wonderful gadget).
Hope it helps
Jorge
Here"s what I use, it's the best I've ever seen (have not seen the Fenix, the 225 lumens sounds interesting )
I love mine
