Title: Black Widow Bow Quiver Help...
Post by: ThePushArchery on November 10, 2010, 01:13:00 PM
I am looking to buy my brother a bow quiver for Christmas.

I really like the idea of the Selway Limb-bolt
Quiver. Does this model work for a Black Widow PCH?

My brothers bow doesn't have inserts in it, so a slide / strap on or limb bolt is our only option.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Matt

You might look at Big Jim's strap on quiver, too. I have one on order so I haven't seen it in person, but it appears to be really well made and costs less than a Selway.

I have a Great Northern adjustable strap-on that I highly recommend.  It won't mar the bow if done correctly and is also offered by Black Widow.  It's nicely quiet.

A selway or thunderhorn work well on a black widow.
On the selway make sure you get the one made for black widow
On the thunderhorn they are adjustable for back or belly mount.

Both of these are limb bolt mount.

I have the Great Northern quick mount limb bolt model for my PCH.I also got a left handed quiver for my right handed bow.By getting the left handed model it allows the quiver to be more in line with the riser of the bow.

I have the Great Northern limb bolt model on my MA and love it! However there may be something to what Junglecat said about getting a LH quiver for a RH bow, with the shorter riser that may be the way to go. My MA with the longer and heavier riser it would probably not be noticable as far as weight or position. In the quiver I can carry 3-145 gr Snuffers, 1-125 grain Wensel Woodsman and 1-Judo Point.

I have tried several different quivers on my PSA the best by far IMO is the Kanati angle quiver by Annewakee Archery. They are a sponser here.

I have a Thunderhorn small Fry limb bolt on my PCH. The Thunderhorn works on a right or left hand riser.   I think the small size looks great on the small PCH riser.

With any of the limb bolt quivers for a Black Widow you will need to order the bushing that fit under the quiver, and long limb bolts.  You can buy them from Black Widow.
