Didn't see a thread for introductions so... I'm Phil and have been addicted to traditional archery for 20 yrs. Its so mystical for me (only way I can describe it)I will have absolutely nothing to contribute to the forum maybe other than the occasional pic. My main bow is a 55# Martin Savannah 28" and I make my own arrows (I just stain'em and rub a few coats of high gloss tung oil and no cresting). Mainly joined the forum to learn and help swell our ranks. Killed several deer and assorted game with a compound and guns in the past but am just now getting back into hunting. I'm one of the lucky ones who can walk out my backdoor and hunt turkey, deer, coyote, etc. Blue tongue devastated the deer population in this area a couple years past but I'm seeing more deer this year. Hopefully I'll get my first traditional kill this year. Thanks for letting me in. Phil

Yeah straitera, a friend hunted east Ky. elk this year for the first time. Being near 60 yrs. old and a west Ky. flatlander he consentrated hunting the ridges for several hot days. He never saw or tagged an elk... they were hearing them down in the ravines and hollows where it was cooler and could wallow in they mud and the elk weren't gonna budge of course. I guess they realized how far up they'd have to carry the animal if he got one! Thanks again everyone, Phil
