I was just wondering if you all have ever felt that feeling that 'when I go sit out tonight... its going to be blessed!'
I got that feeling right now... heading out to 'put the deer to bed' today and can't wait to get out there : )
Yep...Both Laura and I share feelings like that. On our bear hunt this year I "knew" it would be a one day hunt for me...it was.
This year she was working at her desk and said "I think I should go out hunting with you this afternoon....it just feels right". She shot a four pointer.
A week later as I headed to my Double bull blind she said, "This is your night". An hour later I had arrowed a four pointer.
Yep...I get that feeling.
Unfortunately, I have discovered my feelings can no longer be trusted...
I get the feeling and sometimes it actually pans out.
I had a feeling like that before I got married. A date with a hot redhead with green eyes did nothing but help me change my underpants due to fright...
... mike ... :scared: ...
I always TRY to go out not expecting anything, because thats when I actually DO. Seems like everytime I go out with the feeling you're describing, I only get let down...
although...
any day in the woods is a good day, whether I see deer or not. (in PA its sometimes challenging to see them at all)
I had that feeling today..everything seemed right. Last Sunday my son and I built a brush blind on a scrape/rub line, I've seen lots of road kill deer this week (usually a good sign of bucks chasing does)and I just felt it - to no avail - I saw one buck who never came within range and I hunted morning and evening. I think I'll take a day off this week and try again - the conditions are right!
