Just recently switched to a velcro rest and am very impressed with it. Seems to be real quiet and durable. I think it will outlast the calf hair I had on their previously.
Good stuff,I have it on most of my bows and really like it.It does last real well.
i bet it will last a real long time.
i cut a piece of mink hide a to real short hair length and that is the most quiet stuff i have ever used. don't know how durable it will be.

The industrial grade has been my #1 choice. Some the lesser grades will not stay adhered to the bow.
yes sir velcro one of the best things I have used for a rest ..
Can't beat velcro....lasts forever and very quiet.
I'm wearing one off my Rose Oak longbow. Arrows fly great and I am shooting it a lot. Nock height?
That is what came on my Blacktail. Bow is a year old now. Shelf and plate are velcro. Had my doughts at first. But it has worked out well.
i use a thin calf hair side plate and Velcro on the shelf. works perfectly!
I just replaced my first velcro with a second piece. I like the little buttons from the sewing supply stores, 6 for 79cents or so. I get about two years out of em and I like to shoot.....
I have worn out velcro and had it rip fletches off. I prefer leather, rough side up. Leather is also easier to set up your nock, it doesn't compress like velcro. Bill

Ming,
Not sure what Mack Marine does, but it works really well in recurve string grooves to silence the string slap at tne end of the shot.
Thanks, Dragon Rider.
works well, easy to replace, and cost effective.
Lasts quite a while and it's really cheap to replace when you need to.

Yes it does. But I found out that it also is a magnet of everything from pine needles to anything else you don't want sticking to it in the woods. Velcro's inspiration came from "hitch hikers" some engineer found on his sweater.
Not the best for limb silencers on a hunting bow IMO because of the way stuff sticks in it. I found it to be inferior in this regard to calf hair.
Joshua, going back to calf hair limb silencers.
