Some of you guys have awesome shops. Well I am relegated to one half of the garage. So, I have been trying to fit all my stuff into it in somewhat of an orderly manner...still in the works! Thanks Two Tracks for bitz jigs. They are working out great! The Duke is always looking over me to make sure I'm doing it right....haha

Sure could use some more bench space! But for the space I have it'll work ok. Can't see it in this pic, but there is actually an aisle between the dust collector, bandsaw, fletching jig table and the workbench! I need to build a table for the fletching jigs yet...I have them on old milk crates! haha
It looks great to me.
Shoot! You've got me beat hands down!
Just remember the sign of a sick mind is a clean work space....lol
You got it looking good!
God bless,Mudd
nice
Mudd, sure glad to know I'm not sick! Of course in this world "sick" is good...right? haha
I've started some selfbows and have found I am already needing more space. But I'm thankful for what I have!
Snag - my first shop was an old pickup canopy set up on four posts in the ground; after about 40 years of progressively bigger shops, garages, basements, and such, when we bought the property we're now living on, I first built myself a 30 by 40 foot shop, then I built the house! I truly love my shop and the room I have; I have built boats in it, restored horse-drawn buggies, carved many bows, and after many years of "make do", I can finally say I have enuf room! Sourowl
SourOwl, sounds like you have your priorities in order! haha That's something to aspire to! Enough room.
Thanks, Snag; the only down-side is cleaning it. I seem to aspire to the "pilot" style of working in the shop. I "pile it" here, then "pile it" there, until finally I just have to take a day and clean it and put all the tools back where they belong. It's so messy tho, that my wife doesn't come in to "find" a screw driver or such. Sourowl
Wow snag you rock!!
CONGRATULATIONS SNAG!! :saywhat: Best of Luck My Friend!!! :clapper: :archer2:
Looks awesome! Now you're hooked...every time you walk in there you'll look around wondering were to put the next tool, shelf, bench, rack, elec. outlet, dust hose, ect.....
It is an addiction that can never be cured!!
Oh yea, is she complaining about not being able to park the car in the garage yet? :D
Looks like a fun place to spend time!
HAHAHA! Journeyman, she has!!! That's funny! And yes, I have been eyeing some walls for shelves..haha
Ben, I'm looking forward to spending some time in there this winter. With it insulated and sheetrocked it's staying nice and warm. Just need a T.V. and a comfy chair and I could just about live out there. Pretty simple needs....place to make sawdust, refrig for drinks and eats, someplace to relax.
looks good to me.
That is tons better than what I have it looks good. I have a friend in nevada that has a great looking shop me I just use the small spare bedroom.
That is a nice man space! :notworthy:
My blacksmith shop is 1/3 of my garage. The nice thing about it is that it limits my spending on tools since I can't fit anymore in the shop.
Snag that looks great! If u can get that dust collector outside of your shop it cuts down on noise. I got one just like that and piped it outside. If u want plans on a fletching table let me know I've built several 24 jig tables and a couple twelve jigs too. Did a build a long on here sometime back with pics. Dino
If you were in Texas I would say build a car port, (shade for the car in the Tx sun, car sits outside)
Shop grows to a two bay man cave....
But in Oregon, if you got snow then I have seen it collapse carports....(Not recommended for your area) so to speak.
Ahh A man and his shop. Whers the frig??
looks good to me buddy.besides the more space you have, the more stuff you will cram in it.then you will need a bigger space.good luck, steve
