Is there a big differnce in a bow that was made in 2000 verse 2008 like in speed you know just all
I have a hand crafted MA 62" 45# @ 28" shooting a dacron string. I have shot the same bow but a PMA and ther does not seem to me to be a noticable difference. This was not done through a chrono so ther would likely be an increase in speed with the same arrow I would think.
The bows with "P" in front (PMA, PSA vs. MA and SA) had their risers constructed using CNC machines. This makes for a very precise riser and perfect limb/riser fit. Widow says the limbs from "M" bows (pre-2001) to "M" bows might not fit perfect. But limbs from "P" bows to "P" bows will interchange nicely. Widow also says it can, if you send the "M" riser to them they can fit to any of their limbs.
I have no experience with M risers, only the PSAIII. I wouldn't expect a performance difference.
on thier recurves there was a limb change, somewhere around the same time they went to the "p" series which is about 2004 i believe, the older limbs are a little narrower and i believe a little (not much) faster, but they also are not as stable as the later models and were more prone to twisting. but they were still a stable limb just the later ones are more so..
I have owned a bunch of Widows from the 80's to present. I am hunting with a 95' SA right now and can tell no shooting differance between it and my 07' PSA. They all shoot real nice.
NASTY LITTLE SPIDERS!!
I have an older one, Have shot brand new ones and can see no difference.....just all around good bows. With a newer one you can get some options on the woods used and that makes them much prettier!
