Hello
What is for you the best 2 blades broadhead, considering only the solidity, flight and penetration.
Thanks
There are roughly 4 1/2 million threads covering this very subject. If you were to perform a search, you would be absolutely inundated with opinions on the subject.
Zwickey Eskimos for me. Going to try the Steel Force traditionals and classics very soon.
For me, I like Zwickey eskimos, 125 grain, I am sure there will be a wide variety of answers here.
Good Luck
Mike
Several tough 2 blade heads out there, but I think the Eclipse heads are a notch above the rest.
Wish I had 10 cents every time i saw this one! Magnus vented for me.
jim neaves of centaur bows makes an awesome two blade,he's a sponser here so go to the sponsers list above and click on centaur then look at the choices.he has a video of him shooting his b-heads into concrete block and a steel drum.look to be a great broadhead.
I like the Ace standard. Easy to sharpen and very tough, fly great and priced fairly.I also just like the way they look. Bob
I'm presently using Magnus II broadheads. But I also have some Ace standards on hand that I plan to try.
Single bevel - Grizzly
Double bevel - Zwickey Delta
They're both proven and don't cost an arm and a leg.
I use Zwickey Eskimo's. Blades are 125 gr, and with the threaded insert come up to 150 gr.
STOS broadheads, amazing design and they get pretty sharp, the tip is great too
I use Stricklin Helix single bevel ....
Only comes in a screw-in but is hunt ready sharp and 85, 100, single set screw 62-thousandths of an inch thick and 125, 155, 200, 230grain double set screw 72-thousandths thick ....

Concrete wall 10 feet ..... GT 3555 5" RW Shield, 100gr insert, with 100gr RW Helix .. Helix was in great shape but the impact almost knocked the fletch off :)

When I shoot wood I use Abowyers ....

Any well designed sharp 2 bl is able to do the job.I like to collect themand give them a try,all are good.
I like the Magnus 1 in both 135 grain and 160 grain... but there are many good choices as you can see...

What head s this? Where do you by them?
Hard to make a mistake w/2-blade BH's; Bear, Zwickey, Ace, Magnus, Stos, Grizzly, etc. Make sure it's hair shaving sharp & you're good.
My opinion and the 1st choice for me without any doubt is the Abowyer single edge "any model"
Simmons. BILL
I also use the Strickland Helix, single bevel 2-blade. Complete pass-through on a doe at 21 yards. She went 52 yards and crashed. Make sure you get the same bevel (right or left) to match your fletching (righ vs. left wing). I shoot the 100 grains with 75 grain insert in Beeman MFX Classic shafts.

Magnus I 160 or the Ace Standard 160.
Both are tough, fly great and priced right. Magnus even has a lifetime replacement warrenty.
I've used many different ones. They all work. Right now I'm using Abowyer Brown Bears. I'm really liking them.
I use a 160 grain STOS with my 42# recurve and a 145 grain STOS with my 37# recurve.
The Magnus I 150 grain... fine as a two blade, but you can add a bleeder blade later when you get tired of sucky blood trails.
(that should get things rollin... :D )

:readit:
Big is good. Bigger is better. 4 is 2 times better than 2. Simple! :D
Too Funny Charlie!!!
Like Charlie....I'm a multiblade man 99.99% of the time....and have no issues with penetration or lack of pass through shots.....
But, it I had to choose one two blade...it would be the Abowyer Large BoneHead. Wide cut swath....and built like a tank...other favorite would be the Zephyr Sasquatch by Hornes Archery....a hatchet for a whitetail.
STOS
I like the STOS 160s.
I've shot a lot of heads too, had great luck with most of them, trying to find the perfect head, from 2 blades, 3 blades, and inserts...I am sticking with my STOS 2 blade, 145 grain. Excellent flight, unmatched penetration, and I can shave with them when I am done sharpening them. My two cents...
One more reason I use the Helix; I am sharpening impaired, the head comes apart. Lay it flat on a stone and with your finger or in my case with a homemade tool touch it up and put it back together?
The head from the concrete wall is still in service.

My favorite 2 blades are Tuskers, but I've used a bunch without complaint.
Pearson Deadhead..... (oops, collector's prices might throw this one out of the discussion)..... :saywhat:
I think with any broadhead choice one needs to consider how much power they are dealing with. Penetration on a less than perfect hit should be considered as well. The hole that I got with my heavy longbows and stuffed Microflite 12s pushing a full sized Deadhead worked, but the same large Deadhead would not be a practical choice with a light weight bow. I usually direct newbys towards the Zwickee Eskimo because it works and most people can get them sharp, and they penetrate with lighter weight equipment.
I like Simmons tiger shark in 175gr screw in
125 grain Magnus Stinger(4 blade) did a great job last year, but I am hoping to try Centuar Big Game Head l/h bevel this year.(on 29" Beman MFX Classic 400's).
I am using Zephyr Sasquatch on my LB at 51# on the end of AD Nitro stinger yellow shafts with the large alu. insert. They cut a swath through a deer.
Shooting Zephyr Scirocco on my 45# recurve, with cut down steel insert. Have same results with these as above just that the "swath" is not as big.
I like two edge heads. I am an old guy. Not to caught up in this single bevel stuff... yet.
Abowyer Large Boneheads and Tuskers for me when I'm not using VPA's/Big Jim heads.
I'm with coaster 500 on this one. The last 2 does I shot this year were with a Helix and the blood trails are unlike any other 2 blade I have used, massive and short. The results are just as good as with the WW"s I have been using for years.
Hello
Thanks for the answers,I have allready try the zwickey, good broadheads but sharpening this one take to much time for a good result,i also try the stinger magnus,it's a good one too,but she's little bit fragile for use on hogs, I ask about the helix on french bowhunting forum, apparently nobody know,so I have to try it,she look like somethink that I looking for.
Regards
I have used the 145 gr STOS for many years with great results.
i'm a huge fan of the grizzly, but i'm trying the ww elites and the 190gr. simmons this year.
magnus II, grizzlies..
My favorite is the original German-manufactured Silver Flame. Markus has sold his business, and Alaska Bowhunters Supply is now having them made elsewhere (far east?). I haven't seen them, but some of the originals may still be available from Herb Haines. Wonderful broadheads!
i also like the sasquatch, best part is you can add a bleeder and make it a..............4 blade
honestly though i have killed a few critters shooting it as a 2 blade had some durability issues years ago, the newer ones seem to hold up better, but they are a killin head! i think because you can get them so dang sharp easily..they can be sharpened to a a scaupel edge pretty easily and at 1 9/16 width cut a heck of a hole they are as precision of a head as you will find as well.. zwickey deltas come up next,
I've had a long and strong relationship with the Ace Express 165, but I'm starting to feel a midlife crisis urge to cheat with some Abowyer Wapiti's. The Abowyers are a "cut above" other BH's.
