My oldest son wanted to shoot a longbow this fall so I told him to try the bow I got from Mater in the bow swap,he started shooting it, soon he was taking it home with him and leaving his recurve here. Monday he got up for a couple weeks of deer hunting. Well this morning he shot a little doe out behind the house and tonight he shot a nice 6 pt. I was sitting about 100 yards away and watched it go down. Could'nt be happier if I did it myself.I hope these pictures work.

Well that sucks, and my 13 year old computer expert had to go to bed.
There's one for ya but I'm not sure if it is sized right.
Yeah it's fairly big. Try photobucket.com it has a simple share option that you can use. And it will help you size it correctly. If that doesn't work type (//before%20the%20web%20address%20and%20end%20it%20with)
Fixed it!

Thank for putting that up but it's from last year. Brings back some good memories. I'll see if I can get the kid up before I go to the woods.
It'll be hard to top this one. That's a photo for a lifetime. Nice deer shot perfect w/happy heroes. Excellent!
Im glad that bow did the job for him, it was my favorite Ive made.
mater
That is a nice shooting bow Mater, But I'll probably never get it out of his hands now. Gotta get to the woods , try to get pix up later.
Outstanding!!!!!!!!
That's an awesome picture. I can't wait for my granddaughter to be old enough to hit the woods with me.
Again, just awesome  :archer:
Awesome Picture.
That's a great photo and a bruiser of a buck. Lin
Really nice buck. The photo reminds me of a hunt I had a few years ago with my youngest daughter. We gun hunted from a blind and passed on a number of does during the morning. She was getting impatient so I told her to grab the rattling antlers, stick them outside of the blind and rattle a bit. She got after it and rattled in a nice 8 point that stepped out roughly 250 yards away. He moved in and stopped at 235 yards and I took the shot. She was sure I had missed but I knew better and when we went to the spot where the deer had been standing I asked her to start looking for blood because I'm colorblind. She found the blood and the buck less than 20 yards away. It was a great day.
Awesome picture, with a sweet pretty young huntress.Congrats for the buck!
Very nice. Congrats
 Congrats on a great buck and a great pic! Not bad shooting either.
These are the photos of the deer that my son shot yesterday. That other picture was from last year.

Man that's great! That is one nice 6pt.
Thats a great day of hunting. How old is that young man? That would be a good day for a seasoned man. well done
Awsome! And with a swap bow at that. Looks like some of them swap bows got good mojo.
I ended up giving my swap bow to a buddy who is just getting into trad and he's hooked now so I guess it was worth the sacrifice of one of my bows. LOL
Congrats on some fine deer.
Stiks
Sure looks like he's got that bow dialed-in. Well Done!!
very nice.. I love these stories. Joe
Mater, he's 26 and this his 3rd year hunting trad. His first year he shot right between the horns of a big buck, told him to pick one hair and shoot at it,couple days later he had his 1st trad buck down in 70 yards. No tracking on the 3 he's shot. I like it when you see them tip over.
COngrats! What a great feeling as a Dad! Great buck from last year as well
Congrats to our son and you for helping him on his way.
