Just thought i would share some pics with all of you and i will share a pic of a deer when i am lucky enough to get one, hunt safe and shoot strait.
What's that odd growth on the tree in the first . . .
Oh my Gawd! It's human!
Just kidding - nice looking spot. I had a favorite ground blind I had woven from tree vines and small limbs. Had been there so long the original windfall that I started it from had rotted away to nothing. It was on a furniture company's land and they went over to leasing the acreage to pay-for-play hunters. Someone else is probably enjoying that pretty and productive spot now.
Now I just sit with a Torges tree-seat or on a stump/blowdown.
Very cool, I have a quick question. Do you just pick a spot that looks good or do you build one according to sign around you? Thanks.

Hey Jeremy,i have a trail camera about 10 yards in front of my ground blind.I have had the camera there for 2 years and i get pics of deer every day/night on that camera.I use trail cameras year round on our property to see how deer use the property.I built that blind where i did because i get the most pics there and i shoot most of my deer there too. It's one of those spots that the deer just like to travel through.I have most deer come past within 15 yards and i had one young 6 point this year put his head in my blind.I hope this helps you and good luck hunting.
Thanks! I'll let you know if I get lucky, with shooting a deer I mean!

nice set up, I like the ways its built
Do you get busted drawing your bow, or do you wait till they go past? Ken
Hey ken,as long as i move slow the deer never know i'm there. The last deer i shot out of the blind was at 15 yards and it never saw me.I have let 12 young buck walk past this blind this year so far and only one busted me because of the swirling wind.I have let just as many young doe walk past waiting for one of the big old does to come past.
That is such a cool set-up. You are blessed to have such a nice place to chill-out and hunt so close to your house. I like the looks of your gear too. Thanks for sharing!
Thats not a blind thats a fort. Real cool set up. You are lucky to be able to hunt in your back yard. Neat pictures .Good luck.
Thanks Danny,i have always wanted to have my own propery to hunt and now my wife and i have that.I have made my own arrows for the last 25 years and am working on building a small custom arrow buisness when i get the time.I have been using that armgaurd for more than 20 years and it's my lucky armgaurd. It's lucky because every deer i have taken with a bow i have been wearing that armgaurd.Good luck hunting and shoot strait.
i just wish i could post pics like those, maybe i'll get it one of these years.
Nice! Lucky to be so close to the house.
Great pics!Tim what is your favorite fletch color for seeing the arrow enter the deer? I use chartreuse and in bright daylight I did not see my arrow hit my deer this past weekend.I know it's good in low light.I was thinking of going to flo orange but I hear thats not good in low light. George
