I love my Razorcaps. Always have good blood but most game goes down in sight. Can't wait for the "rest of the story".

Cant wait to see the end of the trail.

Hunting a strip of CRP about 1/2 mile long and only about 30 yards wide. Setting in my stand about 4:00 PM and I look out in the CRP and I see him standing about 60 yards away rubbing on some small trees that have come up in the CRP I watched him for about 10 minutes and then he must have laid down again. I am sure he was laying their when I went in and put my stand up. Finally at 5:15  he is up again and just slowly wandering around kind of headed my way. He spent a lot of time just standing in one spot with his nose in the air checking the wind. Finally he commits to a trail the should bring close to my stand and he gets about 20 yards way and acts like he want to go east and he does for about 15 yards and just like that he turned around and walked a bee line right to the trail I was setting on and stopped at 12 yards away brodside looking away. Made a good shot on him and the arrow passed through. He made a run back toward his bed but only made it less than 30 yards.
I checked my watch after the shot it was exactly 6:07 he spent most of an hour and never moved more the 60 yards.

Nice deer Doug congrats. Is that entrance or exit hole? How far did he go? Have you noticed any bucks doing any daytime cruising yet?

I've been using them the last two years (without a shot) but have found a good way to sharpen them.  Go to an auto parts store and find some wet/dry sand paper...320, 600 and 1200.

Start with the 320 and place on a glass service and make 15 to 20 passes per side or until you have a good edge...switch to the 600 and do the same thing.  Move the point forward on the paper.

The last two steps are as follows...place the 1200 grit on the glass and add water, apply light pressure and do 10 to 15 passes per side and then go backwards on a piece of corrugate a couple of times.  I have mine polished and very sharp.

I can't wait to see the damage first hand!

Josh

Hey Chad as much as I like my Bear bows I also keep my BW in the truck with me. I'v hunted quite a bit this fall and only took my BW out twice. 1st time with it I got my coyote and last night my deer so it will be put away for the rest of the year now.

"Let me try to recap "

Your BW,Gets you a coyote and a deer and you punish it by putting it away for the rest of the year !!!!!!!

Is that any way to treat a Black Widow !

LOL   Carl

Nice job on the deer ,and really good blood trails .

Congrats to you Doug! I am hoping to drop a buck sometime in the next couple of weeks. It should start getting crazy out there anytime soon. I am mostly hunting in Clayton County and have already seen two really big bucks. The first one was a big clean 10 pt and was as close as 10-15 yds for 10 minutes but not in a place where I could get off a clean shot. I'm kinda that way, if I don't have a clean shooting window, I won't take the shot. Anyway, it's good to see that a lot of trad shooters are having a good season!
