I snap pictures all the time while I'm in the woods. This is my favorite so far this year. It was early in October, middle of the day, too hot, and I was tired. I sat down and stretched out for a bit.....lets see yours!

North Fork of the Powder River, elevation about 9100 feet. The elk weren't cooperating, so I was enjoying the scenery.

Those are some great photos!
Hey KentuckyTJ - Apparantly I'm not the ONLY "woodsloafer" in the bunch!!! ;0)
My Grandmother used to refer to my Grandfather and Uncles as "woodsloafers" during hunting season....not much work, plenty of reasons to be in the woods back then!

I took this one on vacation this summer. It was the last week of June and it snowed that day, it snowed alot.
God Bless,
Nathan
My Cuddeback caught my wife, Laura, and me checking sign at a stand site. The stand is to the left out of sight of the camera,

This is a pic of my 2010 elk hunt and it shows what I have seen of the elks.
Mine is from a scouting trip this summer when my 4 month old Blue Heeler pup was with me. He was this year's father's day present from my wife and daughters and I'm hoping that he will be a hiking buddy for many years to come.

(http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u89/nocams/IMGP0473.jpg)This was our first ever Compton trip and Dad had a trick or two up his sleeve along with Mr. Ron La Clair. Mason has wanted a Shrew ever since I got one and he got to meet Ron as our guest speaker at the First annual TN Trad Bowhunters banquet. We had a awesome time at Compton and hope to make it in 2011.

The photo could be better but it is what it represents that I like.
Best trip of my life. Elk hunting with my son in Co; nobody I'd rather hunt with. He's a pretty funny guy, and we always have a blast hunting together. It just does not get any better than this for me.
MNFn,it can't be any better than that!

It`s at Ray Hammond's HogHeaven.
When I look at it on my 21" computer wide-screen I can almost hear the noises and smell the swamp :archer:
Margly
Buff that picture of your grandson is the best trophy picture you have. Congratulations!

Here's just one of my favorites, me and my little hunting buddy...My Nephew Tucker, on a squirrel hunt back in late September this year. We didn't hurt the squirrel population by any means, but I think we solved a few of the world's problems and now it's all good again.

It just wouldn't be fair if I didn't show you all my other "Soon to be" hunting buddy. This is Garrett he just turned 6 so hunting isn't really on his mind at the moment, but it will be soon. This boy is the Wild One ......even though he's calmed down a bit in the past year, he's still quite a handful. My brother always looks at me and says "That's your Boy!"
I just reply back...."What did I do?"
Truthfully, he's just like I was at that age so I think me and him will get along just fine and he'll come around when he wants to start going hunting with Uncle Chris.

This is a couple pics of Truman Lake Reservoir in Mid-South Missouri. For some reason these pictures just make me feel calm and at peace with myself when I look at them.
This is taken from atop one of the many huge bluffs on the lake and you can literally see for miles on a clear day. This was right behind the cabins we stayed in while down there on a crappie fishing trip. It was probably between 100-125 feet straight down to the water's edge from up here and it was a breath taking view to say the least. I was up so high that the buzzards and hawks flew so close to the top of this bluff that I could just about reach up and touch them. Some of you all from this area down here around Warsaw, Mo. know exactly what I'm talking about.
