I had a close encounter yesterday with a 140" plus 10 pt. Had him at 10 yards side hill to side hill and shot just over his back. A really ticky shot as the distance can fool you.... and it did. Here is one of his rubs. Would have been my first traditional kill.

They've been busy in my neck of the woods. About 8 other rubs within 100 feet [/QB][/QUOTE]
My Rub is bigger than your Rub. :readit: I would post a pic but dont want to give me seceret spot away :p
I watched three different bucks work this rub in two days. It's by far the biggest whitetail rub I have ever seen. Thats a full size day pack for reference.

It was In Indiana!
How long before a deer crossing sign gets posted. :biglaugh:
Adeeden,
Are you sure there aren't any elk in that part of the country?
Centaur, I wish we had elk!

One of them was 140 inch deer and the other two were in the 120 inch range. Yes i passed on them I had already filled my buck tag at the time!

Watched a good one make this last week and then missed him a few minutes later......
Work day at our camp yesterday. After the work was completed I went to set up my game cam on a perennial scrape area. There were just too many to try and get them all (7 or so in a 30 yard circle.) I'll have pics when I go back to get them in three weeks.
Nice sign, guys.
It started to rain on me today so i climbed down and did a little looking around and found a spot with some rubs and scrapes right next to a big white oak thats dropping.
I know were i'll be next time.
Today I decided to go to some public land that I havent been to for over a year.
Saw more hunters than deer.
But ran across this:

Here's a big gnarly rub I found today. That front tree is six inches in diameter to give you some perspective on the size of the rub.

These pics are freaky and scary. Cant imagine the size of those racks. I've got a couple of 2.5 yr.old bucks with very nice racks on my place rubbing two in.diameter pines. Wow
