Sue talked me into getting out of my nice warm bed this morning at 5:00 AM (cold)
Got in the stand at 6:30 AM. Seven deer came down the trail to my stand around 7 AM. Had a hard time picking which doe I wanted to shoot. I picked out a small one and came to full draw. Picked the spot and just as I was ready to release she stepped away leaving a clear shot at this large doe behind her. It was every bit of 6 yards. The '59 Bear razorhead did its job....got double lung. She ran approx. 40 yards and dropped.

Good for Sue!
I guess there is some truth(at least in this case) the old saying "that behind every successful man is a good woman!"
Congratulations!!
God bless,Mudd
Good job Mike, vintage jewels from an archery collector.
I bet that makes it a little easier to get out of that nice, warm bed next time! Congratulations!
way to go Mike congrats!!!! nice shot to
Good Job!
Nice! Do you shoot the Bears with or without the bleeders?
Way to go!
Thanks all, Thanks Sue for making me get up :knothead: I shoot the Razorheads without the bleeders and they must be hair shaving sharp...Mike
That's a big ole nanny
 :archer:
Now that's worth getting out of bed for.
Sweet...she's a big ol gal
Holy smokes! Out all day and run across this first thing this evening.
Congrats many times over!!! Beautiful deer and a great looking set up. Way to go Mike (and thanks to you too Sue!)
Nice doe. Is that bow a zebrawood Grizzly?
 Congrats! Nice job! Yeah what kind of bow is that? Looks like an old Pearson Hunter.
Dang I love these kinds of threads! Gives me inspiration. Congrats on fine harvest. :clapper:
Your not going to believe this. I have a room full of Bear bows and the best shooting bow I own is this Shakespeare Super Necedah 47# with a Trap feather rest and a Rainmain string. This little bow hits right where I'm looking. :archer2: ...Mike
Well-done!
Very cool my Friend!!
Congratulations Mike! :clapper:

Way to go Mike!
Great job with the DL
Good things come to those who get out of bed!!!
Nice Doe!
Mike,
Were you using the bleeders?
hopefully i can hit my mark when the time comes good shot
congrats
Great job! This is far better encouragement than coffee for all of us to get out of bed on those cold mornings. I was wondering about the bow as well; at first I thought it was a Pearson hunter, but the arrowhead logo on the riser wasn't quite right. I've heard nothing but good things about the Shakespeare's. I'll be keeping my eyes open for a good one.
nice job!!!!!!!
Congrats, that was quick as you guys just opened up right?
It's almost as if he time traveled and shot it last year! :bigsmyl:

Excellent job Mike......and cudos to Sue for actually getting you out of bed!!
You'll need to clean that BH up and retire it......or maybe not.....its got some great mojo now.
Hope you both are enjoying backstraps tonight!
Hey Tony...if Mike is eating those backstraps tonight, I hope he got them out of the freezer....'cuz they are almost a year old now.
:readit:
:biglaugh:
Hey owlbait...That is Mike's "H.G.Wells" doe.
Jim, I could use a time traveled deer right now, been eating tag soup for 3 years! :bigsmyl: Tag soup isn't good even when it's "Wells" done.
Congrats! Those razorheads are my broadhead of choice, I love em!
Awesome mike, congrats! :clapper:

Even better the 2nd time around on this one.
Great shooting Mike!!
Excellent! Great shot! Congrats!
