Title: Nock Question
Post by: WPAtrapper on October 20, 2010, 12:30:00 PM
I ordered some Easton 1716 Jazz arrows for my wife. The nocks that I ordered for them seem to screw onto the swage very tightly. Do I still need to glue them or are they made to just screw on? It's been years since I've shot aluminums and can't recall ever having screw on nocks.

Unless things have changed in the manufacturing process,I would definitely glue them on. Any spirals are from the swaging process. They are not threads.

Yep, I'd put a half-drop of glue on the swage and rotate the nock one turn and back and stop. Be careful to use glue made for nocks. Some folks use certain super glues that aren't specifically made for nocks and the nock makers say this can cause some nocks to become brittle and break -- hello dry-fire.
