Oct 18th is good to me again!
Special in many ways. The Nothern Mist Ottawa recurve came from Tradgang classifieds, the Sitka spruce arrows hand made by Dave Pagel came from tradgang classifieds. The knife I used to dress and skin the buck was made by Tim McCarthy from Indiana. I met Tim in Grayling at the MTB jamboree. I sent him my broken Bear Grizzly Riser and he built me a knife. So, you can see the brotherhood is alive in traditional archery.
I took momma and the boy along for the track. Actually she is a great bloodtrailer and I need her help.
In the first photo you can see the bloody arrow, and behind the two trackers, my treestand.

And, the end of the trail, just as I found him. I layed the bow on him and took his picture. Thankful for the venison.

Me and the tracker

And the Bear Grizzly that now lives on as a knife

Great that your family was there to complete the whole process with you.Familly is #1 and the brotherhood is a close #2.

ALLRIGHT Jashu!!!
What a great way for me to meet your family! Beautiful...simply beautiful!!!
Great looking buck, and obviously an expertly placed shot...great job!!!
Your boy is bright eyed and bushytailed. The younger they start, the deeper the love. As little as he is, you KNOW he will remember the smells that only the October woods can offer, the sounds that only the woods can offer, and of course the beauty he is surrounded by. Made even more special when surrounded by you both the whole time.
Happy day!!!...So many things to celebrate!!!
Sincere, heartfelt congrats, from all of us!!!
Great way to involve family and friends. Celebrate!
Congrats
Congratulations!! Good Job on the buck, but especially on getting the family involved.
I loved taking my boys with me when they were that small. Now, they actually trail the deer for me. I am color blind and rely on them or my hunting partner to do the job.

The bow loves those arrows Dave. I killed a turkey with the same arrow last week. Thanks for the great craftsmanship!
