I had my first true pass thru on a deer this last weekend. The easton full metal jackets tipped with muzzy phantoms made a believer out of me. Shot placement probably helped also, the arrow went thru both lungs. I cant take much credit for that, due to the fact that I missed one at 6yrds earlier that morning.
Good deal!
As for missing one of those sure shots, we've all done that. It's just part and parcel of being a bowhunter.
i like to call them "warning shots"
Good for you bro. Boiler room complete passthroughs are my #1 shooting goal.
The man who never misses game occasionally doesn't shoot much or ..... Glad you got another chance and sealed the deal ! Congrats .
Good deal!! Pics? What bow and specs would be great!!
Cheers
Way to go. Missing the first makes the one you got mean even more. Great shooting.

Congrats. I kinda had the same thing as you but in reverse order. 4 does came in, i shoot the first one, double lung pass thru at 28 yards. The other deer scatter and one is standing under me at 16 yards and proceed to miss her, over her back.
I can still remember my first pass thru. Great feeling.
to be honest in most case missing is just as much fun for me. I got the whole exp. and nothing died lol. Grats on the double hole
I prefer to miss rather than wound. So you saved the good shot for when it counted.
Congrats!!

Great Job - where are the photo's
i didnt take any photos havent for years for some reason. I mean of my deer. I take plenty of pictures when my son gets them. It wasnt my first deer it was just my first pass thru.
I almost forgot. I shot it with a 54# BW PMA2. As a matter of fact it was the first deer I have killed with this bow.
A celebration is in order.
If your family had depended on the meat, the second deer would be the only one remembered.
Congrats!

Widows are dangerous bows when on the reviving end. Your first pass through and many more to come.
