Anyone ever hunted in one before? been thinking about making or buying one to hunt in but havent decided.
Thanks and God bless.
Yes, and they are awesome, you just melt into the folage, I own several from bright green to fall folage and another for the prarie. Google them as there are some fairly cheap outlets out there. You will get busted by critters much less when wearing one, I also use a lighter leaf type when hunting my treestands. DK.
Check out Big Jim's site!
Thanks Jag- We are selling the bush n a bag and it is doing extremely well. Like haveing a ghillie suit but more mobile and much cooler.
thanks,bigjim
Im sorry i didnt see any ghillie suits on that site.
Look for "rag-in-bag", that's from memory so it could be bush-in-bag...lol
God bless,Mudd
I have one but use it mostly for predator hunting. I think it works great, have had coytes real close and they just look right past you. Mine is from Rancho Safari and is very light, cotton not burlap, doesn't smell, and is sewn on some netting.
Hey BigJim - saw the Bush-n-a-bag, looks awesome... is this the same as www.bushnabag.com (http://www.bushnabag.com)
I am curious since the URL above has the suits for $159 and yours is $79....?

I hunt.Love it,32 BUCKS WITH MY SELFBOWS.None over 18 yards most 12 to 15 yards.6 In corn fields in the wind.All under 10 yards.Even touched a doe once.
Over 60 gobblers 12 bow kills all with my ghillie on.Had at least 10 hunts walk past me.A few I really scared.
Saw the one in sportsman guide and wondered if it was noisy or if they were made from quiet material? Have you put it on and moved around in it?
I have the same suit as Wishbone, Really like it!Just be sure to trim accordingly to your shooting needs.
Any recommendations on type of pattern or color combinations that have worked best for you?
Recently read a piece from the researchers at Univ. of Georgia who have tried to determine visual acuity of deer. (seems deer have a little less acuity than humans) Talked to one of the researchers who indicated large patterns of significant color change (light to dark or vice versa) would probably work best. He seemed to question the value of what he called 'photorealistic' patterns. In other words, the patterns that look most real to humans at arms length probably don't work that well in the field. He suggested I take a photorealistic pattern and a bold pattern like Predator and put them up in front of different backgrounds and look at them from 20-30 yards.
Well, I was surprised. The photorealistic pattern looked like a dark clump regardless of background. The bold pattern just blended in.
But backyard tests are no substitute for what has actually worked for you.
